Just love this place. The B&B rooms are nicely decorated, warm and spacious. The two apartments are quaint and cosy. We particularly like the Ludlow apartment (where we last stayed during our last trip to BC in April 2017). The Ludlow, plus points: - Spacious for two - Massive, super comfy bed with superior bed linen - Log burner, which...

We stayed in Bishops Castle as I am doing my family tree and I wanted to see the town where many of my family lived. I researched the B&Bs and hotels and liked the look of this one and was lucky as there had been a cancellation. This was particularly lucky as it was the weekend of the Michaelmas Fair....

Just had two nights in this B&B. The hosts were great, very friendly, good hearty English Breakfast. Wonderful opportunity to stay in this historic property. Had a day cycling on very quiet roads visiting nearby villages. Private car parking to the rear, large gardens. Even saw a tawny owl sat on the signpost opposite our room as we went to...

Quaint and quirky rooms in a listed building make it an enjoyable experience. It has all the amenities needed for a comfortable weekend. We relaxed by exploring the local walks, pubs and enjoying the scenery. Quality bands and musicians playing all day was the icing on the cake. Hosts John and Jill are most friendly and informative.

Great accommodation in a Elizabethan town house. So full of character and history in a historic village. This sets the Porch House apart from most B&B's. Excellent breakfasts and entertaining hosts. Well worth repeat visits to soak up the history, and as a base for exploring the Shropshire area. Alan & Jan New Zealand

This house is remarkable. It's an ancient structure which exudes character. Plumbing and heat were modern and functioning well. Bed was very comfortable. My room was all haywire with slanted floor and crooked walls, tiny paned windows and absolutely charming. Rooms all have booklets which explain the house's 450+ year history. Breakfast delicious and owners very friendly and attentive. Excellent...

This is a fascinating old house, very nicely renovated. The room was large and very comfortable, and the welcome warm and easy. As it's in right in the centre of this lovely old town it was also very convenient, with free and open parking at the front. Breakfast was well cooked with good ingredients. Many thanks.

A wonderfully restored guest house in a beautiful area in the Borderlands. Room was comfortable, spacious with the added attraction of a fabulous bath!! Breakfast was delicious and Gill and John could not have been better hosts.

We had a wonderful stay at the Porch House nowhere totally entranced by the 16th century building and quirky, comfortable rooms with the sloping floors, wooden beams and the massive bath in the blue room. Our hosts were warm and welcoming, serving delicious breakfasts with plenty of choice, the smoked haddock and kippers were a delightful addition to the breakfast...
