We loved the cosy atmosphere of this little tradional hotel. The owners welcomed us as old friends, many visits ago, and that has never changed. The first time we came here, we were escaping a horrid hotel experience in Ioannina, it was cold and snowing and it was my partner's birthday! We were desparate to have a really good time. The village is beautiful and we stopped a family and asked which was the nicest place to stay, and we have never looked back. the Egnatia has become our very special place when we need to feel cared for among old friends!

We stayed here on our tour of Northern Greece. Well located in central part of town. Parking behind it for cars which is super practical in Metsovo. Rooms were well appointed with warm blankets and a fireplace, if needed. Views were mostly of the town but some rooms had mountainside views from various angles. Breakfast was nice with fried eggs, local pies, locally-made butter, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Service was warm with suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. Overall, I would come again.

Having stayed here on numerous visits to Metsovo I can thoroughly recommend this modern hotel with traditional interiors. A suite with fireplace completed an enjoyable wintery visit.

What more does one need? But there is also a convenient location in the main street of the lovely little mountain town of Metsovo in northern Greece, tempting jewellery shops on each side of the lobby (the owner is also a jeweller), quiet, clean rooms and helpful referrals from the owners. We ate typical food of the area in a local restaurant, at their recommendation, and enjoyed it. There is free parking just down the street. We did not use the TV. Breakfast is adequate. There is fresh squeezed orange juice too. The owner's wife was kind enough to cut up a melon we'd bought, so we could take it with us to enjoy later. If you go, check out the bakery just down the street on the left. Looks as it has been there for at least 100 years and with their delicious products, should be there for another 100.

At Egnatia we immeadiately felt at home. Upon arrival Athina welcomed us with Tsipouro and some sweets. As the hotel suffers from the crise there were little reservations so we got the choice between several rooms. Egnatia is a rather big hotel in a lovely mountain village. The room was very clean and the bed had a very good mattress. The bathroom was large in contrast to other bathrooms in greek hotels and hosted a bath. The breakfast was varied and very nice. When we left, Apostolos ( Athinas' husband?) gave us detailed maps and info about the places to go. Thank youvey much for your hospitality !!!

I am more of a luxury hotel person , but as it was a last minute booking over Easter it was probably the best we could find in the location we wanted and we needed 2-3 rooms
Compared to my last stay in a 3 star hotel on Crete it certainly did not compare.
Saying that , the staff were friendly, I had a nice view from a rather small room, but I slept like a log in a soft bed.
Breakfast was as most of the other reviews state, just passable due to no fruit and a strange layout.
The coffee was great as was the fresh orange juice.
Would I stay here again, probably as there was nothing bad I could comment on.

I must say upon arriving to the charming village of Metsovo, I was extremely excited to have found this fabulous hotel. Family run, extremely friendly, and loving staff. Ask for one of the owners, Mr Visaris, and there you will find hospitality. Always offering some locally made wine with an assortment of local cheeses. The food, the rooms, the staff were just amazing. My family and I look forward to coming back summer of 2015. This time for a much longer stay. Thank you Hotel Egnatia.

We really adore staying at this little hotel, my only problem is I love their little jewelery shop too, and I am always tempted! We are always at home here, the quality is always excellent, the rooms are so warm and cozy and the views amazing. We visited just before Christmas and the town was decorated and waiting for santa claus! What a romantic end to our year, and we will surely be back next year.
