The location was perfect! The rooms extremely comfortable, warm, extremely comfortable & spotlessly clean.
Georgos & Pantelis were very welcoming & really looked after us.
Breakfast was amazing! Not buffet style but brought out to you when you arrive. Too much for us to eat!! Fresh bread, jam, honey, fresh (local) butter & cheese, egg, ham, pies & cakes!! What ever coffee you fancy & mountain tea amazing!! Parking under the hotel which goes straight up to the reception and rooms.
Bed very comfortable. Bathroom refurbished with power shower cabinet and hot water all day.
We cannot praise this hotel enough!
Thank you Georgos & Pantelis for everything. See you again!!!

We have spent two nights in June 2021 at this place. We have enjoyed our stay there and especially their breakfast. The room was spacious enough for four people (2 adults, 2 young kids). The stuff was very friendly with me and my family and I totally appreciated this. One small disadvantage might be the lack of airconditioning ( I am talking about rooms on the third floor), especially on hot days that even Metsovo will get during summer, however this could be balanced a bit I guess with an open window and the mountain "breeze". Their veranda is beautiful and you can enjoy breakfast in there as well. Under these circumstances, I would go there again, and would recommend this traditionally styled hotel.

Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional. As unexpected guests, a party of four, we were greeted with outstanding service from the moment we arrived until we checked out. The cleanliness of the rooms exceeded our expectations, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The hotel's warm and inviting atmosphere created a cozy environment, adding an extra layer of comfort to our overall experience. Highly recommended for a memorable and welcoming stay.

Excellent location. Walk to main square. Close to all sites. Hotel very clean and modern. Has an elevator straight from the underground garage to the rooms. Very friendly staff. 2-day visit is enough to see all sites.
A must to see the Folk Art Musuem to find out the story behind the Baron Tositsa-Averoff.

This hotel has an excellent location and generally is a good hotel but the owner could have been more welcoming.
Having briefly visited Metsovo a few years ago we decided to take an overnight stop this year and perhaps see something of the Eastern Zagori. The Apollon has a good web site and we chose this as a result - we knew from our previous visit that it was in or near the centre of town.
The hotel is fairly easy to find by following the sign displayed in the central plateia and on arrival we were pleased to find ample covered parking beneath the hotel with a lift to reception. The owner's greeting could have been warmer, he was not rude but appeared to be disinterested; I was with my wife and two friends and this feeling was shared by all.
The hotel is built on a steep incline and the all rooms benefit from good views, our rooms were at the end of the hotel and had wonderful views. The rooms are sympathetically decorated in keeping with the local style. The rooms do not have air conditioning and would benefit from it but I understand there are restrictions in Metsovo. However, being high in the mountains helps a great deal; we had left 47°C behind on the Plain of Thessalia and still managed to sleep.
Breakfast in the restaurant was served at the table, this was quite meagre and not of the best quality; by late morning we were looking for a cheese pie.
The hotel is located a matter of metres away from the cental plateia with it's tavernas and souvenir shops. This was certainly the place to be on a Sunday evening with the local people sitting around the periphery, especially to see the old folk dressed in their traditional Vlach costume.
If you want to spend your money this is not a problem as there are five banks in Metsovo each with an ATM.
On leaving, my friend handed over his credit card and this was refused although the front door was emblazened with every conceivable sticker, we were then initially refused a receipt but this was reluctantly given. This incident seemed to sum up the owners attitude which was a great pity because we had enjoyed Metsovo and quite liked the Hotel Apollon.
More often than not it is the greeting and farewell which leave the lasting impression of a hotel and in this instance it was not the best, perhaps the owner was having a bad couple of days.

Undoutebly Iorgu and Pantilis cousins are very good managers, and hosts, as well. We, two Romanian couples, had large large bed rooms for one night with "colacione" (breakfas in Vlach language) included. Obiously, it was somewhat easy for us to link a conversation in their local language and to get a good price after a win to win negociation. The staff was friendly, and supportive, and had good knowledge of tourism bussiness in their family style. Our main concern was to have a safe parking for our car and the parking inside the hotel met fully our needs. I saw a review above about the the room and balcony space. For someone from US accoustomed with large spaces, is understandable to say that. We people in Balkans, some of us living in the mountain crowded and hidden settlements with narrow streets, think the owners did ther best shapping the latest tourism requirement with the local conditions. We stayed in many hotels in Greece and neighbouring countries, and we can say the conditions offered by Apollon hotel are impresive and up to date.. Congratulations, and looking forward to going back again.

We stayed for one night this January. We would have stayed longer but they were full.We are a family with 2 children, the youngest is only 3. We took a triple room in the the attic which was spacious, well furnished and incredibly warm. We were not looking for activities for the children at the hotel as we were in Metsavo to ski. The Hotel staff were very welcoming and the underground parking was an extra bonus as we didn't have to scrape the car in the morning. The Hotel is well situated in the middle of the town so it was easy to walk out with the children to find restaurants and cafes. Breakfast was an additional cost but we paid it and we were happy with the food offered, it is continental but it was served to us and all the food was fresh as was the coffee. We really enjoyed our stay at The Apollon and will return....
