The most beautiful home! The most welcoming family! Pip teaches with such enthusiasm, and the knowledge that can only come from a lifetime of experience. Book this house! Book this class! You don't have to do both, but honestly you should. We stayed 6 days, and I took the 3 day cooking course. Even on the first day of class we were learning to make curry paste in the mortar and pestle. This family holds nothing back; the secrets of Thai cooking in a traditional manner, and what it's like to have lived on the same property for 5 generations! It's absolutely incredible. See Thailand as it used to be. It's surrounded by greenery, fruit orchards, plant nurseries, and of course the canal. The property is immaculately and lovingly maintained, super clean. Pang can help you visit Bangkok via any mode of transport that fits your budget. We used many of them. Private taxi, boat taxi, sky train, public bus. And when they take you to the market they explain what everything is and how to use it. They even directed us to this market to buy souvenirs that was completely for Thai people! Not a westerner or "falang" in sight! If you're worried about no air conditioning (I was) don't be! It cools down considerably at night here because it's surrounded by greenery. It's amazing what intelligent architecture and green space does! The air is cleaner than Bangkok, the temp is cooler, the sounds of nature are around you. Honestly, I can't wait to go back.

I had a fabulous stay at the Thai House learning fundamentals of Thai cooking, several family recipes along with tips on how to adapt to my own tastes and foods available at home. I have learned so much from Pip in this class including what makes Thai food so special and how to balance tastes. The home stay was great in such a beautiful home and I enjoyed the tour of the gardens, market tour and boat ride through the neighborhood to the garden. The family is so welcoming and the food is indescribably wonderful with all fresh ingredients made with love and care! Recommendation highly to join a cooking class here!

Our stay at Thai House was wonderful from the moment Peerapong picked us up from our condo. We really enjoyed the boat trip and Peerapong's answers to our many questions and felt we had traveled miles from humanity. The surprise came the next morning when we drove to the market and realized how busy and populated the area really was! At Thai House, all feels serene and pastoral. Next we met Pang who greeted us with a warm smile and a cool drink made from a plant in the front yard. Her excellent English put us at ease as she shepherded us around the grounds. The rooms were immaculate, spacious and very comfortable thanks to wonderful breezes that cool them at night. After freshening up a bit, we met Pip and began our cooking class. Pip is a natural teacher, giving clear direction and regular encouragement about each ingredient, technique, and recipe. But her love of cooking is what clearly shines as she talks thru the value of each food, the options for changing the recipes, and the reasons why she asks you to do things a certain way. We prepared an amazing amount of food in the afternoon, stopping for a snack, a meal, and some dessert before bed. Each dish was unique in its flavor, color, texture and smell and I don't think I could pick a favorite. Everyone we met was extremely gracious, accommodating and patient although they were preparing for a large family gathering at the same time. We really loved our time at Thai House and strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique Thai experience!

My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary in Thailand. Our first stop was Bangkok, we love asian culture and Thai food happens to be one of our favorites. I requested my travel agent set up a cooking class. We had no expectations but were thoroughly pleased with our experience at the Thai House. We took a private boat ride from the city. Pip's youngest daughter Bang met us and gave us a Roselle homemade juice and a quick tour of the land before we met with her mother our instructor Pip. Pip spoke very good english and was very patient. She explained everything about the ingredients as well as how to prepare them. Half way through the day we broke for about 30 mins and had a traditional snack (Miang Kham). After that we began to cook everything we prepped in the morning. At some point around 2pm my ADHD kicked in and I got a little bored while we were actually cooking, we had a long day and were still jet lagged worked on about 7 hours of sleep in two days. But once the food was done I refocused. Everything was delicious and we left with recipes. I also purchased some of the homemade jam, Roselle and Mango with Lime. Overall we had an amazing experience and great food. I would love to return and even stay at their traditional house and learn some more recipes for a more cultural experience.

we only stayed here 2 nights but they were great, food was brilliant and the owners very friendly, Rooms are basic thai, fans only but quite comfortable. If you want to experience a real thai house them this is the place to go. Even better is the fact they have cooking classes for thai food.
