On arrival I was confused about check in but the lovely lady who also did our amazingly relaxing massages helped me sort our key from the lock box it only took seconds 🙌🏻 I went for my massage as my husband went to our dome and set up our port a cot and our things into the extremely spacious room. We swapped over for his massage and I got to enjoy the tranquility (yes even with a 15 month old baby) of our dome and took in the views. When he got back we went to the main house for a wine tasting and cheese platter all just amazing the vineyard dog Nellie gave us all lots of attention and love, we had great conversation and excellent knowledge from one of the owners during our tasting of wonderful wines we may have purchased a few bottles 🥰🥰 The accomodating owners called a local food establishment and ordered us carbonara (Amazing) pizza and Arancini (sooo good) delivered right to our dome! We lit the fire all equipment provided (matches, kindling, fire lighting cubes, wood ect) even though it was sprinkling with rain we had a good hour out side enjoying our time :) Lastly going to sleep with the sound of rain on the roof like I was in a tent is divine 💜💜💜 but we have a hot shower, tub on the deck, flushing toilet, shower, heater and air con and electricity this is so good it should be illegal! One extremely happy customer!!!

An anniversary surprise for my husband. It certainly didn’t disappoint! Doug and Corrie were wonderful hosts, and their dog Nellie was a delight. The wine tasting was fabulous with 24 varieties to sample, and Doug was very informative about the vineyard and wines. The massages were excellent and so relaxing, thank you Corrie! The Domes are beautifully appointed and we enjoyed our platter of local produce beside our fire pit as the sun went down. It was amazing to lie in the comfy bed and watch the stars and then the sunrise! Thoroughly recommend it. A unique experience in our beautiful island state. Who needs to go overseas!

We booked the Sauvignon glampers dome which comes with an outdoor bathtub. (Bring your own bath bubbles).

It was our first time glamping and staying in a dome! it was magical. It truly was.

There are a few domes but they are all spread out, so you have your privacy.

The dome has a full ensuite. The walls are insulated and a heater is provided to keep you warm at night, no worries. You can soak up the view from the bathtub or from the comfy bed. You can also watch the stars from your bed or at the fire pit.

There is no TV or wifi (although Swinging Gate Vineyard and Cellar Door has wifi). So you can switch off for the night!

Oh, and the complimentary wine from the cellar door is a bonus!

We had the pleasure of staying at Domescape in the vines in October. It was amazing accommodation right in the vineyard of Swinging Gate winery. However I would just like to point out that we had no lighter, wood, sticks or fire lighters on arrival. Also the main light had a blown globe. In your Compendium you stated spare globes could be found in the cabinet next to the toilet, however this had a lock on it. Also stated in the Compendium there was suppose to be a blue tooth speaker and a diffuser? We couldn’t find either. Also we found lots of black hairs in our bed. I’m really not one to usually complain but for the price we payed just thought these small things would be otherwise sorted. I would also like to give you some advice on maybe getting new pillows. They really are cheap and crappy and was a little disappointing. The platter we paid $65 for was really not worth it. We hardly touched it and went to bed hungry. Sorry to grumble but like I said I am not the one to complain but these little things could of made our stay and someone else’s a lot more pleasurable.

Thank you. We really appreciate your open and honest feedback. Naturally we are extremely disappointed your stay didn’t live up to expectations and fully acknowledge that we certainly missed the mark on this occasion. It is crucial for us, that all guests have the unique, relaxing and enjoyable experience that exceeds their expectations, and are always looking at ways to improve. We appreciate the importance of the points raised and we understand how this occurred and have taken the steps to ensure they have been addressed and sorted. Again, we humbly apologise and as discussed we hope you will take the time to come back and enjoy the experience the way it should be. Warm regards

Absolutely loved this place! Our host was very pleasant and helpful and quite happily provided a wine tasting prior to checking in. All of the check in instructions were emailed to us plus I rang ahead and pre ordered a platter for dinner. The platter was amazing! So much more than I expected. Nellie the dog came and joined us for dinner (I'm sure she could smell the food) and quite happily trotted off when we had finished. The dome was beautiful! Quality furnishings and fixtures with a very comfortable bed. Along with the included bottle of wine and extra platter, we were also provided with a breakfast voucher at a cafe in the local town. I loved everything about Swinging Gate winery and the dome. So happy that I found this place. Highly recommended to anyone who wants a romantic getaway.

Our first night away child free in two years, and it was everything we dreamt it to be.
From the super friendly staff, our wine tasting host was just beautiful and so knowledgeable, the delicious pizza was delivered to our door and the complimentary wine went down a treat as we watched the sun set. The outdoor bath and fire pit at the end of the night really topped off the whole experience.
The king size bed was so comfortable which made for a perfect sleep.
The temperature was always comfortable in the room with the heating and air conditioning options.
We will certainly be coming back regularly for a little peace of heaven in the vines!

This place is MAGICAL MAGICAL MAGICAL! It's by far the most romantic place I've ever stayed! We stayed here for our last night of honeymoon in Tassie and it was unreal... It truly was!

It was our first time glamping and the tent was gorgeous with boho style furnitures and styling. There are only three domes and all of them are spread out to make sure you have your own privacy. The dome has a full ensuite. We went to bed by watching the stars and woke up with a beautiful sunrise in our bed. If you think that's not enough, they have an outdoor bathtub and firepit! How amazing!

The host and his dog are all so friendly, we did a wine tasting at their cellar door and they gave us a complimentary wine!

These three domes are located in Swinging Gate winery. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a romantic getaway.

We went to Swinging Gate Vineyards for a regular monthly degustation and rather then drive anywhere after indulging, we booked the Domescape. It was fabulous to just stagger back after a great night, and the dome was just lovely. Good sized spaces, the bathroom is quite large considering, and waking up and opening the drapes to the stunning view was just delightful. A great option.

Four us booked two tents. We came for the Degustation experience @ Swinging Gate Winery, where the tents are situated.

Just wonderful and comfortable.
View, bed comfort, amenities.... all just superb!
The tents are among the vines, with a gravel track to them and a carpark near each tent.
3 minute walk from the Winery and rustic dining area.

We have just recently stayed 1 night in the Pinot Noir dome.
It was absolutely magneficent.!
We don’t write many reviews because quite often places are exactly what was expected - which is wonderful as well - but when you get more than you expect, then that’s really special.
And that’s the case when you stay with Doug and his team.!
We arrived and absolutely loved the dome.! The stay included a lovely wine tasting of 7 wines, where we could choose one to take down to the dome and enjoy with the wonderful cheese board already prepared for us.
Great flavours to enjoy while soaking up the atmosphere.
We were so very fortunate, that the team was hosting a degustation dinner with wine pairing on our evening staying, and we had a superb time with lots of locals enjoying the dinner. Lovely food, great wine and music.
We felt really high and extremely blessed returning to our dome for a really pleasant nights sleep.
Staying at Domescapes as been a real highlight of our trip to Tasmania - and to Australia.
