This is the second time that we have visited the George and like the first time it did not disappoint. We arrived at around 12.00pm and were warmly welcomed and shown straight to our room which was one of the cottage rooms at the rear of the hotel. The room was lovely and warm and very clean. Although the hotel...

Our room (19) was at the back of the building, nicely furnished and very clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Best of all the food, we had an evening meal on a very busy Friday evening. The most delicious starter of a blue cheesecake , followed by fresh cod steak served on a bed of white beans and salami...

Stayed for a couple of nights here, excellent place. The staff are very warm, welcoming and extremely helpful nothing is too much trouble. Very pleasant check in. The room I had was a double and I have to say as someone who uses hotels quite a lot I was amazed at the size. The bathroom alone was bigger than some...

13 of us came for Sunday lunch last week and enjoyed a faultless meal. We chose a variety of food from the menu, all the food arrived at the same time and was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. We've been here a few times and love the atmosphere and food each time.

Stayed here for two nights with my sister and our parents while attending a funeral. Staff brilliant. Nothing too much trouble. Had evening meals both nights which were freshly cooked and tasty. We enjoyed a good breakfast both mornings in a very pleasant breakfast room. We had rooms in the courtyard at the back. The mattress was a little soft...

The George at Easingwold had a really nice feel to it as soon as you walked in the door. We didn't stay here, but were looking for somewhere to eat one evening. Friendly bar and waiting staff, a good choice on the menu, and warm and cosy - which in November is a must! There are some places where you...

A visit for an evening meal found a warm friendly welcoming pub with fine beer and very good food, when next in the area will certainly visit again ,a variation on a theme offers smaller portions ,not just for children at a cheaper rate.

Thank you Nick for your review. Our "pub classics" section of the menu is popular with those who cannot manage a full portion.
