Detailed Reviews
We stayed just one night at the cabin park. Angela welcomed us which was lovely. The room was basic but clean & very spacious. It was near the highway but no disturbing noises. Bed was comfortable & would stay again.

Wallumbilla Cabins is a very Clean Comfortable place to stay. The new owners are very helpful and lovely people. Each cabin has it's own car parking spot out the front of each cabin. There is a cabin to assist those with disabilities and has ramp for wheel chair access. The price is ok compared with what you might pay at other motels and cabin parks. It is modern with comfortable beds and en-suit, and has free wifi. The park grounds and cabin area is a bit small, but it does have a swimming pool and BBQ area. Great place to stay on your way out to the Australian Queensland Outback.

Stayed for a family get together and was thrilled with both the location (walking distance to shop, pub, pharmacy, information/historical centre) and services. Cabins are fully self contained and en-suited, large fridge and plenty of room to move. The location is excellent, just off the highway (but no highway noise) and includes an outdoor bbq area and bar and in ground pool. Amenities in town are limited, so bring all your essentials. We stayed two nights, and enjoyed every minute.

I spend around 70% of the year in a different town and across all of Australia from tip to toe. In 20 years I have never felt compelled to write a report on my experience.
My colleague and I had the usual, mundane expectations. We thought, "here we go, it will be the normal cabin" and we are accustomed to cooking our own meals when working away for a week or more.
Smart cabin operators would be wise to stay for 2 weeks and learn something from these guys. 1 week to have a break and the other to learn. As you will read, there are not enough superlatives.
Our first impression was a very clean appearance, then..., genuinely friendly people (not the normal grump looking over his glasses like you just interrupted their day), then.... clean rooms.., great social/gathering point, wonderful food and good times around the table before retiring to my own room with all the facilities, comfort and absolute privacy you need.
They provide the true ability to have ample privacy, share a healthy 'post working day' social time and warm into the evening meal. I really enjoyed the genuine home cooked meals (and all thoroughly enjoyable!) with a modest 'cook' (Donna) who talked down her efforts. Breakfast is a 10/10 too.
Mike (your host, is also your entertainment) takes his job as host seriously. Mike and Donna operate with casual, professional efficiency.
They have some rooms permanently leased to a good bunch of guys who share a Fifo roster. The environment would have to be beneficial to their mental health as the family environment is exactly that, family. And like a good family, they all welcome new faces with open arms.
For a company looking to have long term lease, I can provide my professional opinion. As one who is aware of the welfare of my staff, I am therefore aware that traveling and being away from home has drawbacks as it has positives. The Wallumbilla environment is healthy. The mental health of my team is important and I place an equally high importance on the accommodation. We have office staff who have a black book of hotels, motels and cabin parks we refuse to engage because for my team work at their best, they need a proper sleep and calm/clean living space.
If I or my colleagues are to work in Roma, we will travel the short trip every day. If I was traveling through, I would stay there in a heart beat with my family too.
These guys are the benchmark.

I could not recommend this place highly enough. It would be 12 months since I stayed here however it is a place I often talk about. The cabins are clean, private and comfortable. The operators are extremely friendly and helpful. If I have to stay in Roma I would ring these guys first to see if had a room available and would drive the 20 minutes to stay here again. Donna and Michael truly make it the place it is.
