We stayed here January of 2008 on a weeklong vacation that also included Saba and St. Martin. Anguilla is a beautiful rustic island with some pricey hotels so I was glad to find this place! It's basic and yes the decor is dated, but overall it was clean and close to one of the best beaches (clear water and perfect...

My fiance and I spent a weekend at the Allamanda in June. It was low season, so it was very quiet. The staff was friendly, although we only saw them to check in and out. The pool was small and did not appear to be clean. The walk down to Shoal Bay was quick and the beach was beautiful. We...

I stayed at Allamanda for 9 nights, Feb 19-28, with my husband, two kids(9&11) and my sister and brother in law. We had a great time and thought Allamanda was a great deal. It was our 3rd time on Anguilla, having stayed at Cap Juluca and Ku, in previous years. We had a one bedroom apartment (king bed with p/o...

My husband and I just returned from our much anticipated visit to Anguilla. We decided upon the Allamanda after reading other reviews, and after speaking to friends who had stayed on Shoal Bay at another resort. We arrived late Fri night and found keys waiting for us as instructed. Our room was on the top floor and very spacious. It...

We stayed in the Allamanda for the last four days of our sixteen days in Anguilla over Thanksgiving, and found it to be an excellent value overall. We would stay there again. It is not directly on the beach, but it is very close, and we rented a car for our entire trip and were always off to a different...

We loved this hotel! Not too expensive. VERY close to the beach and at the end of the beach which made it less crowded. The staff is very nice and room. The place is clean with a nice restaurant, and great landscaping around the pool.

We stayed at Allamanda in October 2009. As other reviews have stated, it is not super-fancy. Our room was clean and comfortable. We were on the top (3rd) floor with a balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. Our room had a king bed, bathroom with tub, and a small kitchen. It is very quiet in Anguilla in October (many of...

This was our second stay at the Allamanda Beach Club on Shoal Bay. The hotel is, as others have mentioned, nothing special. It is dated, and could use some upgrades for sure, but it is very clean and more importantly the best value on the island. If you don't need to stay at a 5 star hotel and expect to...

First let me say: this place is no Four Seasons. It is definetly older and more charming - the rooms are quite old and somewhat run down, but the bed was comfortable and provide more than enough for people wanting to explore Anguilla on a non-millionaire budget! We arrived in the evening and checked in - just FYI the hotel...

I'm giving this a 4 Star because of price. I only paid $120, which for the Carribean, especially Anguilla which is one of the most expensive islands in all of the carribean, is very cheap. Set your expectations low and you will be ok. The rooms are very basic and are in need of repair and remodeling. They are very...
