Brooms Head is one of the most beautiful and relaxed holiday destinations on the North Coast of NSW. The small village has a quaint Bowling Club and a corner store, both within walking distance from the park. Brooms Head Holiday Park spreads out alongside the stunning beach and lagoon rockpool area, up towards the stunning Brooms Head lookout. This beautiful natural location is just minutes away from exploring Cakora Lagoon, Lake Arragan, and Redcliff. The park offers a range of powered and unpowered sites (some of these have direct beach frontage) and cabins. The positioning of the park enables many sites and cabins to have incredible water views.

We went to Brooms Head for a few days escape. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We had a choice of powered sites. We decided on C section as we were close to the really clean amenities, right next to the beach but protected from the onshore winds.
We had a lovely stay. I rise each morning to go adventuring through the park taking photos of the sunrise and the beach.
We used the nice clean bbq facilities on a couple of occasions as well and each day we would go for long walks along the beach or up over the headland towards Sandon.
We also were able to explore the nearby beautiful Yuraygir National Park with the fabulous red cliffs.

Although a little windy at times, Brooms Head Caravan Park was a wonderful stay. Great walks around the beach and back beach is a must do! Gorgeous swimming areas and breathtaking sunrises. The only downfall is that you cannot get anything here shopping wise.... the caravan park doesn’t even sell UHT milk which would be a fantastic market for them. It’s not too far to Townsend Servo or Maclean Spa to pick up shopping but it is an inconvenience if you forget to bring something!! The Bowling Club is fantastic for a $10 lunch (Chinese cuisine) but doesn’t have many beers on tap. It makes up for it with the location and the large open area outside to sit and enjoy those sea breezes. Had a great time here and the locals were so friendly and great to chat with. Definitely a must have stopover for a night or a week!

The Broomshead Caravan park is a wonderful place for a family holiday. Right on the beach with a lagoon there too. The Snack shack stocks bread, milk, ice as well as takeaway food, drink and ice blocks. The bowling club is a short stroll for a drink or a Chinese meal. No need to drive the car once you arrive. No other shops so plenty of time to relax away from the hustle and bustle.
The beach is safe and patrolled. If you want you can walk over the headland to Back beach which is good for snorkelling.
If you are wanting a relaxing holiday this is the place to go. Lots of time for card games and board games. Bring your bikes and go for a ride.
It is only a short drive to Maclean where you can stock up supplies at one of the two supermarkets. The IGA has an amazing range of products that you wouldn’t expect. Definitely worth a look there.
While in Maclean drop in to Botero for an amazing coffee or a delicious lunch. A must.
Browse the shops in Maclean to find amazing buys. Don’t be put off by the quaint exteriors. These shops have treasures inside.
Yamba is also close by if you feel the need for retail therapy. From boutique shopping to unusual bargains at Beachside Bargains and value for money clothing and accessories at Birdscage. All worth a look.
You can camp, caravan or there are cabins at Broomshead Caravan park.
A unique holiday experience where you can enjoy your family.
A hidden gem.

SERVICE
Very impressed with their phone manner, email communication and after hours process was easily understood.

CAMPING
There are locations close to the beach with no protection from the winds, or more sheltered by sand dunes. Toilets scattered about the beach line, Undercover BBQ areas and shower admenities located centrally with a key lock.

We’ve camped here for the last 16 years and it’s always been special.

This year we booked a cabin - what a shock. $160 a night for a very basic 2 bed cabin in the shoulder season. It wasn’t even one of the big ones at the front (even though it was described as a “deluxe waterfront cabin”).

To make matters worse only one bed was made up so when my daughter said she might come down to join me for one night of the three I was told by the office I would have to pay an extra fee per night for having “extra people to stay” ie a total of two people instead of one! Then the park would give me some bedding for one of the single beds. What a cheek after already charging $160 a night for a two bed cabin!

The one thing we’ve noticed consistently since Danielle and Darren left is that the park office staff get ruder and more unhelpful every year.

It’s a shame as the rest of the place is still as idyllic as ever ❤️

Awesome spot right on the beach. Plenty of room between sites. Family oriented as kids can ride their bikes around. Fire pits only allowed between May and July and need to be off the ground. My only negative is the amenities need an overhaul. Very rundown but remember this is a council owned holiday park. Staff friendly. A takeaway shop is up one end of the park. General store across the road is a bit pricey so I’d suggest you take everything in the way of food and drinks. It’s good for ice. $5.50 bag. We found the people staying there very friendly. Definitely not a snobby park lol. Everyone having arvo drinks but keeping to themselves. Without a doubt would return. And there is a bowling club a short stroll away that has Chinese food which is delicious

We only live in Maclean 23kms away, but sometimes there is just a change of scenery that is needed to recharge our batteries.
Brooms Head has always been one of those places. It’s not the Gold Coast, full of shops and hustle and bustle and that’s how we like it.
The park has a number of self contained cabins with great views of the ocean.
There is a snack shack within the park, a general store and a bowling club with great yummy Chinese restaurant in the village.

The perfect location to relax by the beach, this park is right at the beach, quiet location, there is a bowling club, small shop and a cafe called snak shack. It’s not an over the top big 4 van park so it’s a traditional family run park. Camping right on the beach is as good as it gets. Very affordable, facilities a bit old but function well. Monopoly but plenty of beach

Location is second to none. What an amazing find along the coast. So much wildlife. Sites were large and plentiful, and the Snak Shack was a delightful surprise, which provided many snacks for us during our stay. Bathrooms were adequate, the beach only a few seconds away. We woke each money to dolphins and kangaroos. A beautiful patch of Australia.

We are at the very end of a 6 week caravan trip and wanted to spend our last few days somewhere right on the beach where we could relax and wind down before heading for home and back to work.
How lucky were we to find Brooms Head Caravan Park!! I truly did not want to leave.
We had a site in the road side of park just back from the beach. We were so close to the beach that when I was in the surf yesterday I could still see our van!

Amenities and ground are very clean. Reception staff were excellent!!

We will definitely be back!!
