We absolutely loved our stay at Kirup Kabins. My 4 year old had the best time and it was great to watch his confidence grow in feeding the animals. The cabin was spotlessly clean and had all the utensils we needed. The view from the cabins is just beautiful, calm and peaceful. Carol was a great host and we can’t recommend this farm stay enough! We will be back :)
What a gem. We have been down a couple of times now and love it more each time. The place is just gorgeous in a beautiful part of the world;so quiet and peaceful. The animals were amazing, we love feeding time and there were new lambs last time which made it that much more special.
Perfect place to take your little ones for a farm stay! We decided to visit spontaneously and called to make sure we could arrive later at night. Christine and Philip made us feel so welcome and told us they would have the fire going before we got there. And true to their word, the fire was lit and the cabin was warm when we arrived around 6:30pm They feed their animals at 8:30am for the kids, and only do it if they have guests, so they go out of their way to make you feel important. We fed chickens, geese, Ernie the emu, the sheep and even got to watch the cows be fed. Our kids absolutely loved it. The view was spectacular. Hubby and I enjoyed sitting by the fire when the girls were asleep with a local wine from one of the wineries. The cabins are basic, but well kept. There was enough of everything that we needed. You need to supply your own linen. Which isn't a hassle. And it is helpful to give the place a quick vacuum and clean before you leave, considering it's just the two of them and they have a whole farm to run! I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a proper farm stay. Don't expect luxury, expect to get your shoes muddy and experience the real feel of the south west from a different perspective. …
Stayed over the Easter long weekend, with 2 young kids. Everyone had a great time. Amazing views from the cabin. Heaps of friendly animals for the kids to feed and the fire place added to the country charm. Happily recommend to friends and family.
We like a sky show but find the crowds in Perth and getting home a bit much. We usually go to the Skyfest in Bunbury, there is entertainment for the whole family culminating in the biggest fireworks show in WA outside perth.Of course we make a few days of it and stay at our favorite farm stay Kirup Kabins. We have stayed there many times and on our last visit in the winter took our daughter and grandson and he especially enjoyed the animal feed and we called in to gnomesville on the way home so he could leave a gnome. We are looking forward to our Australia Day trip this year, the owners of Kirup Kabins always make a great effort to make our stay winter or summer enjoyable.
They changed our accommodation and we were overcharged $200 from their advertised tariffs. Currently dealing with consumer affairs as they did not respond to any of our calls or emails. Owner kept walking into our cottage in her own free will. We had 2 visitors for a bbq in the afternoon and she told them they could only stay for an hour. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Children enjoyed the animals.
We stayed one night, raging fire to keep us warm. Kitchen well equipped and cottage very clean. Lovely host and the kids really loved the animals. Only downside was no complementary tea/coffee and big flies wanted to eat our breakfast....
