We've recently held a party at the Abbey Hotel for our daughter's 13th birthday. I'm so pleased we chose the Abbey. The staff were so helpful from start to finish regarding the organisation of the party and the venue turned out to be the perfect location. There was plenty of space for our large party of family and friends but...

Arrived to the restaurant tonight, without any prior booking, for a meal. AJ and staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much of a problem. The menu is very different to the last time we dined there, but changed for the better. I personally would rather have less choice and freshly cooked and prepared food, which this venue now...

We had an excellent evening. The food was beautifully presented and was delicious the staff were very attentive. The singer was very good and sung a wide variety of songs. The dining room was beautifully set the only critique I would make is a candle would have been nice on the table to set the scene. Overall a fantastic evening...

We have experienced two very enjoyable evenings so far this year (2017) at The Abbey. Both evenings, the dinner menu was comprehensive and offered something that would suit a wide spectrum of diners. Each course was excellently cooked and presented. The service was very good and without exception each waiter (together with the restaurant manager) ensured our needs were satisfied....

Another lovely weekend at the Abbey. Very big thank you to Avesh, AJ and their brilliant team. Food beautifully presented. Thank you to Chef for an amazing Chicken Kiev on Friday night in the bar, and the wonderful 3 course meal on Saturday evening. Can not find fault. Every time we go there, we know we will have a lovely...

Just stayed for one "sleepless" night. The only downsides that I found with this hotel was the thinness of the walls separating the rooms - I could hear every conversation and bodily function from next door, and the reception does not appear to be 24 hours. The upsides - all the rooms are on one level and you can park...

Our stay was comfortable and warm, staff were efficient and attentive as well as being informative. Full English breakfast was just that and plenty of it along with toast and preserves. I would not hesitate to book in the future.

We went for a Christmas meal at lunch time today and it was the worst meal I have ever eaten. There were over 70 of us so I expected a slight wait for our meal but we sat for 1 and a half hours before the meal was served up and when it came it was almost inedible. I had...
