Thank you, Greg, for an awesome time at the Sandpiper. We woke up each morning to an excellent cup of coffee and an equally excellent view. The black-sand beach is quite beautiful. While we didn't surf ourselves, it was fun watching those braver than us take on some incredible waves. Greg, serving as concierge too, pointed us in the right...

Thisplace is owned by Greg, he is watching for every detail in the property, doing every thing without disturb guest. You will have a very small swimming pool but just 20 feet from the place the whole Pacific Ocean with big waves for those to like to surf, in fact, this area is one of the most famous in the...

Good location and clean rooms. It is right on the beach in Playa Hermosa... walking distance to restaurants and you can surf right out back. We rented one of the ocean front rooms and it was right on the beach. The owner was out of town on his honeymoon, but Yerlin was friendly and very helpful with anything we needed....

We spend the best days of our lives in Sanpiper, it's a perfect place for all kind of people, Greg and Saritha, the owners of this paradise picked us in the San Jose Airport and the adventures begin. First off, Greg (the owner) picked us up from the airport in a reasonable time and then drove us an hour and a half back to his hotel. Stopping along the way to shows us the famous crocodile bridge. He was able to provide great recommendations and answered all of our questions on the way in. When we arrived to...

Spent 4 nights at the Sandpiper last week. Greg was nothing but helpful throughout the whole process; everything from how to navigate the airport to what local spots were delicious dinner options. The surfing right in the front yard is unreal too. 5-6ft everyday there, glassy and 85 degrees. No complaints at all. We'll hopefully make it back down to...

We cannot thank Greg and Sandpiper Inn enough for such an awesome experience. Absolutely nothing bad to say about the experience. My boyfriend and I were looking for a quaint surf adventure on a beach in Costa Rica, and we got that plus so much more. The owner Greg was kind, fun and full of great tips for surfing, eating...

I felt compelled to write a review of Sandpiper after reading the last bad review. I couldn't disagree more with this person. We are a couple that have travelled to many countries around the world, and spent 4 nights at this hotel in April. I didn't find Greg to be aggressive, unorganized or disrespectful. The hotel is small, low-rise and...

My husband and I just got back from a week and a half in Costa Rica and we spent the first half of our stay at the Sandpiper. It was THE BEST stop! Greg and his wife Saritha were the best hosts. We were able to arrange for Greg to pick us up at the airport even after our flight...

The Owner, Greg, is aggressive, unorganized and disrespectful. Rooms are disgusting and not clean, have spiders in beds and are very outdated. Grounds are a mess. Hot tubs broken and outdoor bathroom had blood in the toilet. Wifi/cable is meaningless. Worse than a hostel! Just a little about us: We have lived in and traveled several cities worldwide mostly on...
