This was an amazing experience. Very claming and stunning setting.

King Room is amazing! Decor and layout is exceptional, with relaxing terrace porch, along side of internal access to communal facilities which are there if needed including kitchen and additional sitting areas.

The nature of the retreat is beautiful, a goreous setting with bird sounds, multiple day beds options, outdoor spas, hammocks and more makes for a tranquil escape.

There are also beautiful healing crystals scattered throughout the resort, from beautiful geodes, Rose quartz, amethyst and alot more.

Everything is layed out well, so that there are multiple spaces and locations for you to enjoy each other's company privately.

There is a beautiful peacock which graces you with his precesense occasionally, and is a real treat.

Front of Staff is Amazing, Marcella has a beautiful Ora, and is professional and on top of everything.

The resort is close to the main Beach and streets of Byron by car, ( you couldn't walk there) but we loved the location and think it is definetly worth a stay.

I Reccommend Booking directly through Cape Byron Retreat website for the best deals. As they are not a large corporation, this helps to support these amazing run places by booking directly, so they can keep profits in the business and keep the exceptional level of care and service going.

Thank You Cape Byron Retreat
For an Amazing stay!
2 nights wasn't enough, but so glad we found your Retreat.

With everything going on (COVID and impact to my fiances business), we just needed to get out of Sydney and this was the perfect place to do that.
My fiance loves a hot spa, and the room we had for the first two nights allowed us to have a hot spa whenever we felt like it (King Spa room I think). The room we had for the other two nights (2 bedroom apt) had a gorgeous view of the hinterland range, hammock and firepit. It was very romantic having sundowners with that vista. The laundry facilities ended up being well utilised and we even made ourselves a lovely meal one night which we didn't think we would do, but ended up being great, just to break the "eating out" routine.
The retreat is a drive out of the main part of town, but we had a car and it takes about 5mins to get into town, if that so it isn't that far at all. The trade off is this, stay right in town with all the cars and traffic and yes you can walk to the restaurant or main beach OR stay a little out (like 6km) at this retreat and experience the peace and tranquility that the remoteness offers.
It was the best break for us and the hosts Marty and Nikki were AWESOME !!! Everything was super clean, private and comfortable. The main house area has a lovely fireplace which I sat in front of and soaked up the warmth not to mention balconeys galore to sit out on and read.
My fiance and I did everything: went for a run up and around the lighthouse, swimming at a beach every day, we went to Bangalow, Nimbin, Cabarita Beach, Brunswick Heads, Lennox Head, Mullumbimby all based out of this place AND ate at most of the restaurants in town (Mexican, Japanese, Italian) YUM ! Would highly recommend this place !

Hi Aussie Traveller, wow that's quite a review. I must say it is refreshing having guests like yourselves stay on the property. Hospitality is a tricky game and it's nice when your clients put a smile on your face. You certainly did that and I thank you. Enjoy married bliss, Marty & Nikki

This was a lovely tranquil place away from the hustle and bustle of Byron Bay. We stayed in Villa 1 which was lovely and secluded. The villa was comfortable and clean. The grounds of the retreat are spacious with views around the local countryside. The swimming pool, although small was good for a dip. You do need a car to stay here. Food can be ordered 24 hours in advance, but we chose to have breakfast in Bangalow about 15-20 minutes drive away. We self catered in the evenings, buying food from local Aldi and Woolworths. There is a kitchen but the area closes at 4pm. The staff here were friendly and helpful.

Following the management change at Cape Byron Retreat, I would avoid staying at this retreat at all costs. We went for a few days and arrived to a dark and abandoned property, where we were provided no amenities. The first night, the key broke in the door. We had to follow up with the property managers (A Perfect Stay), who did not provide any solutions apart from suggesting we find a stick to bar the door. as for our luggage, we had to hope no one thought to rummage through the other empty rooms to take our things over the course of the evening throughout a large portion of the day. After calling A Perfect Stay numerous times over the course of the day, the key was finally changed and we were left a bottle of shampoo and conditioner — all organized by the employees of A Perfect Stay. I was unable to ever get ahold of their manager to discuss the situation, who left me one message four days later and then did not respond to any further calls or emails.

I would recommend anyone who wishes to stay in the pittoresque Byron Bay find literally any other accommodation than staying with A Perfect Stay, not only from a comfort perspective but from a safety concern. They do not care about their customers at all and leave you to sort out any issue that may arise on your own.

This certainly met and exceeded our expectations of a 'retreat'. The location is far enough away from the centre of Byron Bay, while being close enough to get right into town with ease, even at the peak of holidays.

The resort is only small, making it very peaceful and quiet. This also means you have a lot of privacy and easy access to the facilities, even at a busy time of year. The service from management and housekeeping was of a very high standard and with a really personal touch. Always around to help and have a good yarn, while giving you space to feel like you are alone.

My wife and I (reluctantly) left there feeling so relaxed. I can't say that for a lot of other places we have stayed in the past, so I thoroughly recommend staying here to anyone looking to disconnect from their day to day life and to take in the wonderful Byron surroundings.

Hi Daydream, thank you so much for your kind words. You really captured the essence of what our owner, Marta, had in mind when she took on this property. It's a lot of work but our clients make it well worth it. Hopefully we see you in the future. Regards, Marty & Nikki

This retreat is just a few minutes drive into the hinterland from Byron. We booked a villa- a large bedroom/ lounge space and lovely huge bathroom. The place is exactly as advertised online, very pretty and tranquil. The outdoor furniture could go with a clean and unfortunately the bath tub in our room was too slippery for me to use. Nevertheless the staff were lovely and the breakfasts beautifully cooked and delicious. The hot tubs had covers on which I couldn’t work out, then I decided it was a bit too cool to use the anyway. I’m sure the staff would have helped but it was after 4pm and that’s when they finish. Highly recommend for people needing time out from everything. Waking up to birds every morning was just what I needed.

This week we took a 4 day trip to Byron Bay from Monday to Thursday. We stayed at the Cape Byron Retreat. Even though from all the photos it seems like it is out of town it was really close. About 5 minutes drive and you were in the heart of Byron Bay.

We had made plans to take walks through near bye rain forrest to discover waterfalls etc, but upon arrival were overcome by the peace and serenity of the retreat. We settled in for a chill 4 days. Made great use of the pool, hot tubs and BBQ area.

While you could order a breakfast box from the retreat we decided to self cater. We made a trip to the Woolworths store near bye and were set for most meals. We did go the Mez Club in Byron Bay one evening for dinner and it was very good.

Being an Adults Only retreat it was quiet and peaceful and you could completely relax by the pool. Service provided by Marcella was fantastic. The rooms were well appointed and everything was clean and tidy.

If you are looking for somewhere to chill in a country setting but still only 5 minutes from everything in Byron Bay, this is the place to stay!

Very quiet and secluded retreat 5-7 minutes from Byron by car. The grounds and hot tubs are wonderful and the staff (Marcella) was lovely. The room whilst very comfortable was smaller than expected and the bathroom was only ok. The food hampers are over the top ($100 min for continental breakfast) and there were no amenities in the room to make your own food. My wife and I both had massages which were FANTASTIC.

All in all, this retreat could be improved but we did enjoy our stay.

My partner and I spent the weekend at Cape Byron Retreat for a relaxing getaway from our busy lives owning a cafe and farming and we got that and so much more. We were greeted in the most beautiful living space and taken to our room that overlooked the mountains. You could hear a pin drop in our room, it was so peaceful and quiet. Our room was so clean and beautifully presented. We were given fresh towels and our room was tidied throughout our stay also. We ordered a breakfast to our room one morning which was every bit worth doing, before our massage which is an another add-on that we could not recommend enough. The team at Cape Byron Retreat gave us many recommendations for things to do and places to eat in Byron and surrounds and we were stoked with every one of them. I will definitely be recommending this stay to others and we will be back! Thanks for having us!

Very quiet and private, you will definitely need a car otherwise taxis are tough to come by in Byron and ~$17 one way. There aren't any kitchen facilities so you'll find yourself going into Byron pretty regularly for food.

The room we stayed in was spacious however the bathroom was comparatively small. Also needs a few more power points.

There's a peacock that roams the property, which is cool. The spas are relaxing and have a scenic view over the hinterland.

Overall a really nice place to stay

We had a hire car - however the owners did very kindly pick us up from Byron Bay on our first day as we arrived too early to check in .
