A few minutes from Byron center this hotel is a small refuge, great for those looking for contact with nature and rest. It's possible to wake up with the sound of birds and have breakfast delivered to the door of the room. I highlight as the best of the stay the massage service, the jacuzzi (great view at sunset) and the staff.

Being greeted by the amazing and friendly Marcella was the start of a great weekend. Marcella was super friendly and made me feel like I was in paradise from the moment I arrived. When looking for a gem of a hideaway not far from Byron town, you can't beat Cape Byron Retreat. While watching the sunset from either the gazebo or the spa I felt like I could have been in the middle of nowhere. Yet this gem is located only 8min from Byron Bay town and about 15min to The Farm and 3 Blue Ducks. For me it was an easy Uber ride into The Mez restaurant in Byron after a champagne at sunset in the gazebo. If you want the best of being away yet access to great restaurants and the beach, this is an amazing retreat for couples. The room is getting a little old and does need an update but still well-appointed for a weekend away.

Excellent property for people who want to be a short drive from Byron, however in a pretyy quiet location with fantastic hinterland views. We stayed in the Sanctuary Suite and it wa spacious and very comfortable. The staff were lovely and completely relaxed - which is just what we were looking for. Byron in winter outside of school holidays was magic - almost like turning back the clock 20 years.

This was an amazing experience. Very claming and stunning setting. King Room is amazing! Decor and layout is exceptional, with relaxing terrace porch, along side of internal access to communal facilities which are there if needed including kitchen and additional sitting areas. The nature of the retreat is beautiful, a goreous setting with bird sounds, multiple day beds options, outdoor spas, hammocks and more makes for a tranquil escape. There are also beautiful healing crystals scattered throughout the resort, from beautiful geodes, Rose quartz, amethyst and alot more. Everything is layed out well, so that there are multiple spaces and locations for you to enjoy each other's company privately. There is a beautiful peacock which graces you with his precesense occasionally, and is a real treat. Front of Staff is Amazing, Marcella has a beautiful Ora, and is professional and on top of everything. The resort is close to the main Beach and streets of Byron by car, ( you couldn't walk there) but we loved the location and think it is definetly worth a stay. I Reccommend Booking directly through Cape Byron Retreat website for the best deals. As they are not a large corporation, this helps to support these amazing run places by booking directly, so they can keep profits in the business and keep the exceptional level of care and service going. Thank You Cape Byron Retreat For an Amazing stay! 2 nights wasn't enough, but so glad we found your Retreat.

Very quiet and secluded retreat 5-7 minutes from Byron by car. The grounds and hot tubs are wonderful and the staff (Marcella) was lovely. The room whilst very comfortable was smaller than expected and the bathroom was only ok. The food hampers are over the top ($100 min for continental breakfast) and there were no amenities in the room to make your own food. My wife and I both had massages which were FANTASTIC. All in all, this retreat could be improved but we did enjoy our stay.

Very quiet and private, you will definitely need a car otherwise taxis are tough to come by in Byron and ~$17 one way. There aren't any kitchen facilities so you'll find yourself going into Byron pretty regularly for food. The room we stayed in was spacious however the bathroom was comparatively small. Also needs a few more power points. There's a peacock that roams the property, which is cool. The spas are relaxing and have a scenic view over the hinterland. Overall a really nice place to stay

Room Tip: Best to hire a car and BYO wine if you're planning to stay in as they only stock a few local beers

It was a wonderfully relaxing 4 night stay for us in a spacious self-contained villa away from busy Byron Bay but just 10 minutes drive to the city centre where you can buy all your supplies or dine out if that is your preference. The Spa Bath overlooking the rolling hills was a great way to enjoy the sunset with views stretching to Mt Warning in the distance. Wi Fi worked well and Netflix is provided. We enjoyed the daily visits from a peacock but he could be a bit noisy squawking at times throughout the night. Staff were friendly and professional and their Covid Safeplan protocols in place were excellent. We would not hesitate to recommend Cape Byron Retreat as a secluded and relaxing getaway to our family, friends and work colleagues.

This retreat is just a few minutes drive into the hinterland from Byron. We booked a villa- a large bedroom/ lounge space and lovely huge bathroom. The place is exactly as advertised online, very pretty and tranquil. The outdoor furniture could go with a clean and unfortunately the bath tub in our room was too slippery for me to use. Nevertheless the staff were lovely and the breakfasts beautifully cooked and delicious. The hot tubs had covers on which I couldn’t work out, then I decided it was a bit too cool to use the anyway. I’m sure the staff would have helped but it was after 4pm and that’s when they finish. Highly recommend for people needing time out from everything. Waking up to birds every morning was just what I needed.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Booked the couples Villa which is beautifully decorated and the bathroom is awesome. Great outdoor area with a swing seat and laid back chairs which was lovely but not very private as it’s overlooked by another room and shares a path with two rooms. The Villa is great but I just wish they’d spaced the rooms out a bit more. It stated the rooms would be serviced every two days but ours was done each day although towels weren’t changed and we ran out of toilet paper once. That said it was still very good and great value for the price! And yes, we would go back!

Byron Bay is a very busy town at times - packed restaurants, traffic queues - but is also very beautiful and staying at Cape Byron Retreat, a five minute drive from town, was a great way to experience the town without being overwhelmed by crowds. The grounds, rooms and living space were smart, stylish and well-maintained. Location was very quiet, peaceful, and I didn't cross paths with many others while staying there - the retreat was full, but the layout gives you lots of privacy if that's what you're seeking. We were in the pool room. The pool is shared, but I didn't see others using it while there - so it was like our own private pool! The outdoor hot tubs had great sunset views over rolling green hills.
