We have just spent three nights here - having all your windows replaced is a great excuse for a short break. We also had our spaniel with us, who loved the opportunities for walks literally outside the door. Not surprisingly at this time of year, we were the only guests, but the welcome was as warm as the room. We...

Stayed here for 5 nights in September. Very quite place as it is set back from the main road. Ideal setting for exploring Carcassonne to the north, Mirepoix, and also just over an hour to Quillan and Axat with it's Red Train. The footpath for the 5 mile walk to Mirepoix start just outside the back door. Alex and Rachel...

We have stayed here several times now and will be back again next year. Nice big clean rooms and good food. Also very nice views over the country side with the mountains in the background. The management was very helpful and friendly.

Stayed three nights here as my cousin was getting married nearby. Nothing bad to say about this place.. Super quaint, peaceful place.. Very serene. Alex and Rachel were the friendliest hosts. Wonderful view of Pyrennees and the lovely medievel town of Mirepoix is 7-8 minutes away by car. Breakfast was also super yummy! Had one of best croissants on my...

We spent four nights here using it as a base for exploring the local area. Alex and Rachel made us feel welcome from the start and the offer of a nice cup of tea was gratefully received. Our comfortable room offered a superb view of the Pyrenees. Nothing was too much for our hosts who were always willing to go...

Calm, relaxing fabulous views and friendly people. Great welcome from warm and efficient new owners Alex and his wife. Everything works, the beds are really comfortable and it is superbly quiet. Very good breakfasts. Haven't tried the restaurant for dinner, but it smelled good. Very good base to explore the Cathar country and Carcassonne. Nearby historic village of Mirepoix is...

We stayed here on our last night before heading back to Caen for the ferry. I wasn't aware of the change of owners as this happened after we booked our stay but if our stay was anything to go by the new owners are sure to succeed. Our room was spacious and allowed direct access to outside which was a...

I made our reservation long before I knew that this Auberge was under new ownership but, on arrival we were not disappointed. Alex and Rachel and their beautiful children made us feel very welcome and at home. Our rooms were comfortable and one had a magnificent view of the Pyrenees. We enjoyed watching the sun setting over the snow capped...

This was my first visit as part of a group of choral singers who have been staying at the Auberge for a number of years during a music festival. We were greeted by Alex and Rachel, who took over the Auberge in June with their young family. During the week they made sure that all our needs were met and...

I reviewed this hotel a year ago. It has recently been taken over by Alex and Rachel and their family who have moved out from Warrington. On our recent visit, David, the previous owner, was assisiting as a very capable waiter to give some continuity and advise to the new patrons. It is clearly going to be a huge learning...
