Detailed Reviews
Well stocked kitchen equipment - well more than just the two sets of cutlery, two plates, etc, found in many places aimed at two people. Enough heat and hot water for a cold, wet day in the Clare Valley. Immaculately clean. Well positioned about half way between Clare and Auburn. Excellent water pressure even though it’s not on mains supply. Take your own drinking water if you’re not used to drinking rain water.

We stayed in the cosy little Bijou cottage. Although small it was very well equipped with anything you might need. The attention to detail was excellent. The Kitchen was compact but very serviceable. Value for money was outstanding. I was expecting the usual simple continental breakfast provisions so the bacon & eggs enough for our 2 nights stay was an unexpected treat. The fresh fruit was also very much appreciated. The location was perfect for our bike riding trip. Placed approx halfway on the Riesling Trail. Giving us oldies the option to ride the trail over 2 days. We will definitely stay again and perhaps even look to book the larger Chalet Cottage as well together with friends enabling us to share the BBQ and outdoor area. You might say the cottage was a little rough around the edges but this just adds to its Charm.

I stayed for a night in the Bijou cottage whilst hiking the Riesling trail. Whilst the owners weren’t around at the time, the communication was great, everything was in place and I had a great night staying in the well-kept serene cottage. Great options for breakfast, good value, easy to find, couldn’t ask for anything more.

We stayed in the chalet which proved to be lovely. Great breakfast supplies and a gas cooktop which was good. Comfortable bed. TV reception was a bit variable. Close to the Reisling Trail for good walks. Many cellar doors in the area. Nearest cafe in Sevenhill about 6 km away.

We stayed at this cosy accommodation as a base for exploring the Clare Valley.
The unit was spacious and well equipped wth everything you could need. The unit had both a fireplace and split cycle air conditioning....while we stayed in the middle of winter and it was very cold outside, it didn’t take long for the whole unit to heat up.
Our friendly host, Reggi, left us provisions which made for a great breakfast....along with coffee beans for freshly ground coffee (the unit has an espresso machine).
Would certainly recommend staying here if your are touring the Clare Valley.

We stayed for one night in Bijou cottage. The cottage is a small rustic cottage and was perfect for a one night stay. We had self check in. Everything was well explained. The cottage has a compact kitchen which included a microwave and coffee maker. There is a two seater couch with a small flat screen tv. The bedroom was a good size with a comfortable double size bed with electric blankets and an ensuite size bathroom. We found the very basic breakfast provisions did let it down. We would certainly stay again.
