Your holiday starts as you board the seaplane, that you must take to get to this island. Trans Maldivian Airways. A great experience. After about 45 minute flight, you arrive. The checkin process at the hotel was quick and very welcoming. We stayed in a standard beach villa,we had the most amazing views. The island is stunning, with beautiful flora & fauna and unspoilt. We had a room on the south east side of the island right next to the Albino bar.It was a quiet cocktail bar and the beach area and marine life there was amazing. The staff were very knowledgeable on the food and were really friendly and helpful. The main restaurant had themed nights, the Indian restaurant had a tandoori oven making breads and kebabs to order, the Mediterranean restaurant provided beautiful pasta and fish dishes. The drinks were all premium brands. There are lots of chickens living on the island which for me being a chicken owner was perfect. There are also fruit bats, but they are high in the trees and don't bother you.For snorkellers, the marine life is varied. You don't have to be a swimmer to see the fish as they swim around your feet. The rooms are very practical and you have two showers, one inside and one out. There are 2 cruises included in your holiday.
We visited the Chivana Spa twice during our stay and can fully recommend the Chivana Massage which is two therapists working on you at the same time. Very relaxing! Just to say it was amazing and we shall definitely be returning as soon as we can.

We have recently returned from a three week stay which was out fifth consecutive time to the island.
The island has improved year on year and this year we enjoyed the upgraded premium all inclusive. We were totally happy on our previous four visits and wondered if we’d like the changes. Our first few days were spent in one of the upgraded bungalows (193) which was lovely. However we requested a different room which was facing the sunsets and were then moved to a room of our choice (205) this room hadn’t been upgraded but everything was still as wonderful, spotlessly clean and maintained exceptionally well by our room boy.
In previous years we’d dined in the Sufura restaurant with our designated waiter so wondered how things would be. We need not have worried! The sufura is now a fantastic Indian restaurant and whilst we were there didn’t need to book as it was a quiet period. We also ate our breakfasts in there too, still the lovely laid back quiet restaurant which set us up for the day. Our waiter - Nahid – top man! The menu and food quality was exceptional with fresh naan bread from the tandoors.
We often ate lunch in the main restaurant and took advantage of getting to know several lovely friendly waiters (Shareef & Shafiu) who provided great service and quickly got to know our drink preferences.
We almost always went to the main bar for a pre-dinner drink and Percy was preparing our Bombay & tonic as soon as he saw us approach – thanks Percy.
Café Mass was our favourite bar and again brilliant staff (Sumith, Shafraz, Angel and Janitha). We ate in the Thaava restaurant where you needed to book for dinner. The menu was changed each week so there was always something different to choose.
We love this island for the staff, food, location, snorkelling and the other friendly guests. We’ve booked again, (thanks Amjad for booking our preferred room) this time for four weeks in January 2021 – can’t wait to be back in our happy place.

We have just returned from 10 perfect days and nights on this perfectly stunning Island. Originally booked for May but couldn’t go at the time due to COVID-19 thankfully made it this time.
We flew Emirates with a short stopover each way in Dubai. Transfer by Seaplane only 45 mins, which was a fantastic experience with fabulous views of lots of the other islands. Greeted with a warm warm welcome and a lovely cool coconut drink and taken to our luxury Jacuzzi Villa. The room had everything we needed and only a few steps to the sea. Close to the North jetty, reception, pool and restaurants. Cafe Mass also just a short walk across the other side of the Island.
The room was cleaned every 3 days due to the current situation which was no problem, the fridge topped up and anything else we needed was quickly provided on request.
The food in the Main restaurant is A la Carte and wow it’s amazing! We had a couple of delicious Indian meals too which you just need to book the day before. We visited Cafe Mass regularly and had lovely lunches and evening meals. Even though there isn’t a buffet as per normal the food is plentiful, lots of choice and delicious. Great cocktails too! We recommend trying the ‘Janitha Special’ in Cafe Mass, just ask Janitha, the Barman, he was so attentive and went out of his way to make our holiday as special as possible. Thanks Janitha.
There were only approximately 50 people on the island so it was lovely and quiet, the pool area was so relaxing. Big shout to Ruan who looked after is so well every day there and the pool barman Madhihi for making our fab cocktails.
We booked a lobster meal on the beach one evening and attended the beach BBQ. Both were amazing. Great food, very romantic setting and the staff worked so hard to make everything perfect.
Had a massage and facial in the spa too which was heavenly.
We felt very safe and had complete confidence in all the staff. Everything was sanitised regularly, staff wore masks, no issues at all.
A huge thanks to all the management and staff for making our holiday in paradise so perfect. We’ll definitely be back. 😊🙏

It is a beautiful island, the food, the staff, the location all great, my only beef albeit not the end of the world was our chalet whoops villa was in need of refurbishment, broken shower door, safe not working, Our villa was right where they parked the sea plane, nice when most morning’s at first light it’s started and moved ready for its first trip of the day. the water is clear many fish around the edge baby sharks, white bait, Tuna and other I don’t know the name of, it is the first all inclusive holiday I’ve had where everything is actually included. Two excursions were even included, we paid to island hope, which only meant leave your island visit one across the bay, stop and another uninhabited island and back! We did try the fine dining experience, which is absolutely out of this world, $50/60 per head not expensive compared with some fine dining restaurants near where I live. All in all I was a great relaxing holiday, a long flight, but worth it when you get there.

We stayed for 10 nights in a deluxe beach villa on the north side of the island, in our opinion one of the best rooms, comfortable bed, mini bar and great outdoor shower! Just open the double doors onto the veranda where you have a small table and 2 chairs directly onto the beach with your own sun beds.

Restaurants are all good but we found the Indian restaurant to be the best, we did not need to book for lunch or dinner and it was a great option for breakfast as always very quiet!
Chef Guru was a lovely man and would cook you something on request.
Cafe Mass and Thavaa have a great position and ambience but food not always very hot!
We had a meal at the water villas which was lovely but cost 65usd each.

Bars. Albino bar was one of our favourites as relaxing and breezy and Lasantha always made a great mango frozen daiquiri and was very friendly.

The main bar was large but didn’t have much atmosphere as not many people around in the evenings.
The sunset bar had the same singers most nights but they were very hit and miss!!

All staff were very friendly and always spoke when you passed them, gardens were kept well and beaches were always being swept.

We did the dolphin trip but like most people we didn’t see any dolphins, but that’s nature!
We also did a paragliding experience and the staff were very good at there job!

All in all we had a great holiday and hope to be back one day.

We had 2 fantastic weeks, and returned to the UK 1 week ago.(just)
The staff make this resort, everyone is happy helpful and hard working.
The sunset beach bungalow was directly on the powder white sand, and the sea crystal clear.
Nice outdoor shower, and daily stocked minibar. Our room boy did a great job cleaning twice a day.
I only did snorkel once with life jacket on, as I am a weak swimmer. The fish were amazing, but I enjoyed watching them from the pier.
The food was good, even outstanding in the Indian restaurant! We missed breakfast most days, as it ended at 09.30, so we had coffee and pastries or cereal behind the main bar which was lovely.
Due to the current world situation , the resort was very quiet and no bookings were required in the restaurants.
We loved the infinity pool too, but it got too warm by the afternoon as the weather was wall to wall sunshine almost.
The dolphin trip we enjoyed, and saw 2 poor turtles netted together, it was wonderful that the boat staff caught and freed them, well done!
When this terrible global crisis is over I really hope that the tourism industry and all its staff resume normal duties.
Thankyou for a great holiday.

from the moment we were met at Male Airport by a representative from Adarran Select to the moment we left to fly home we were made to feel to welcome and in safe hands
we knew there could be a little wait for the sea Plane so it was nice to find that we had a special lounge to sit in where the drinks and food were free . it was around 2 hours when we were boarded on to our sea plane , i am so glad we booked this as it takes your breath away the moment you see your island
Meedhupparu is a beautiful island and is approx 1.5 miles to walk round . We stayed in Sunset Villa 189 and were very happy with our room and actually glad that we had some shade nearby as it was very hot at times
we ate our Breakfast and Dinner in mainly the indian restaurant Sufura and must say a massive thank you to our Server Hussain who was just amazing and helped make our holiday even more special , also Devi and Luzman. We ate during the day at cafe mass which did sandwiches, burgers and pizzas in a perfect location . We had a meal at Thavaa which you need to book (its included in price ) the food was lovely and the location was so nice . we treated ourselves to a special meal at the Water Villa Restaurant which is extra if you are not staying in the water villas but it was worth it for the cost of $80 each including taxes , service charge and drinks .
We didn't eat in the main restaurant as found it a little to busy for us
the water was lovely and clear around the island with plenty of fish to see and the House reef was very good
during our stay we paid to snorkel with the Turtles and we were not disappointed as we saw 3 . you can also paddleboard and kayak for free and also borrow fins for the duration of your holiday
Our Villa was kept very clean and the towels and sheets regularly changed and the mini bar topped up each day . I can honestly say there is nothing that I can fault about this Island or staff . We asked to have our bed changed from 2 singles pushed together to be a double and this was done immediately.
Every single member of staff we saw on the island from the gardeners to the Management team always said hello and we felt extremely covid safe
thanks go to Praveen , Velu, Hussain, Devi ,Luzman and Zahid for making our holiday one to remember for the right reasons

We could not have chosen anywhere better, it was pure paradise. We stayed 2 weeks room 108 delux jacuzzi beach villa . Ideally situated ( to be honest any accommodation on the island is) what I liked was being close to reception so WiFi was good, not far to walk home after an evening out 😉, excellent snorkelling just off our beach, very quiet beach only approx 8 of us on any one day, white powdery sand no corral, plenty of shady areas to lie and take it easy. View of sunset from our beach.
The rooms are kept spotlessly clean and I’m very fussy, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and moisturiser provided, all towels provided, hairdryer in room ( no iron). Fridge restocked daily with soft drinks and lots of water daily and 2 kitkats daily.
The food in the restaurants is beautiful and caters to all tastes and nationality. There are 3 main restaurants for the evening, main restaurant, buffet style. The Indian restaurant buffet style but more personalised, Thavva restaurant table service, need to book in advance. Lunch is served at all of these also but we preferred the snack selection at cafe maas which has a lovely setting. Drinks are good quality spirits and not measured so be careful you could drink more than you realise.
The pool is lovely but we didn’t use it as I love the sea.
There are 2 free trips sunset cruise and dolphin safari, none motorised water sports are free others are payable on request.
The weather in March was lovely approx 30 degrees and sunny.
The staff are amazing very cheerful, helpful and generally lovely, tipping is not expected as with some all inclusive resorts.
Travel to the island is by sea plane and is managed logistically by the hotel.
The manager Sobe is excellent and has his eye on everything from ensuring that everything is available and that all the staff are supported including monthly staff awards for front and rear of house. He even knew when a bat had been injured on the island… nothing is too small for him to know and care about. Well done Sobe.

We stayed at the resort for our 10
year anniversary trip for 5 nights. It was our first time in Maldives and wow, what a trip it was. Prior to booking, I read reviews which made me slightly nervous about this resort, but honestly, it was the best decision- everything was just perfect.
Firstly the island is so naturally beautiful, with golden soft sand, the most beautiful coloured sea and beautiful plants and trees all around. We saw so many beautiful varieties of fish, including a small shark and dolphins go past the resort regularly. The resort is maintained well and any fallen leaves or anything else outside, regularly cleaned.
We were in beach villa 264 and the location was perfect, the sea was just a few steps away and it felt really private there. We loved opening our front door to the sea. Our bed was really comfortable and large in size. The room was cleaned thoroughly daily and whenever we’d leave, we noted that the floor would be cleaned again to remove any sand. The fridge was stocked daily with drinks and a chocolate each. Bottles of water were also left on a daily basis.
Best of all was the food. We had the choice of 4 restaurants inclusive. Our favourite was the Indian buffet, Sufuraa. They served a large selection of authentic Indian food, with a chef making fresh naan. The main restaurant Jafaaiy also offered a large selection of food. We enjoyed the food from the live cooking stations on the different themed nights. Cafe mass was good for sandwiches and pizzas. You need to make a reservation at the a la carte Thavaa restaurant (I would do it when arriving as it gets booked up really fast), but we preferred the other 3 restaurants for food overall. The setting at cafe mass and thavaa is beautiful, with stunning views of the sunset. There was ample choice of drinks at the restaurants and additional 4 bars. We loved the ‘berry berry’ mocktail.
The staff were all great and always made an effort to say hello and ask how we were.
The only improvement I would suggest is irons in rooms, we did have to ring reception a few times before one was delivered to us the following day as apparently they were all in use.
Overall a perfect stay. We loved it there and would recommend to others without any hesitation. Just wish we had booked for a couple more days as reaching the Maldives and the island does take time and is a tiring journey.

Form the moment we arrived on this incredible Island the service was 1st class, we were greeted from the seaplane and whisked to our accommodation with a welcome drink on arrival. I struggle to write this review..... Not because our experience wasn't completely outstanding but it is difficult to put into words how truly beyond every expectation this resort and personnel was during our stay.

The beach villa was literally feet from the beach (123) generous in size, comfy beds, spacious bathrooms with an outdoor shower, nothing better than showering under the star light !!

My partner treated me to a stay in the water villa as a surprise, a early birthday present and a complete surprise, completely organised by Paul and the incredible team of staff who put this together, I was whisked away after our dolphin cruise (a must do), suitcase packed for the night and arrived in tears of joy at Villa 817 - WOW JUST SPECTACULAR our Butler was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable, couldn't do enough for us, he made us feel like the Queen and King of the island, delivered us high tea on our day bed over looking the ocean and breakfast in bed, snorkeling around the water villa and under the pier was just like swimming in a fish tank and the hot tub on the villa deck watching the sunset was just a perfect way to end the day, just simply stunning.

The food is another BIG WOW factor the dine around facility provides you with lots of options and choices, quality, portion sizes, presentation, combination of flavors 10/10, compliments to the catering team waiting teams, outstanding service, our private dinner on the beach was very romantic, right on the sea edge (a must do).

And don't miss out on the massages, please make sure you experience the spa, it is really an experience for a total destress.

If you are considering visiting DO IT !! you will, like us, have the best experience you could ever dream of. As for us we are already looking at when we can rebook, for sure we will be returning.

We would like to thank the General Manager Chris who made sure everything was just right and the entire team at Adaaran Select Meedhupparu for an exceptional holiday. Anyone who asks for my recommendations in the Maldives I will make sure they come and stay with you !!
