We booked three nights at this hotel for a mountain-biking break and had a fabulous, relaxing time. Great things to note: Spacious, clean rooms with fabulous views Great breakfast and tasty evening meals Lovely bar area with cosy nook by the fire Incredibly friendly and helpful staff Secure bike lock-up Really easy access from M4 Local bike trails are fabulous!

After arriving at the front door, we were instructed to come around the rear and enter the hotel via the bar and restaurant. The 2 young ladies that greeted us were polite, friendly and couldn't do enough to help. The room (No2) was a bit tired ie could have done with a make over and one of the single beds...

We stayed at the lodge for 1 night in August and used it as a base to bike on the trails in the area. The lodge is set in beautiful scenery and is very handy for mountain biking. Some of the staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and spacious. The food was good, but overall...

Stayed here for two nights in order to go walking in the Afan forest. Excellent location for this. Staff were very friendly. Food was great, but be prepared for the high prices! The hotel is busy with mountain bikers but all guests were quiet. Room was spacious, lovely and clean. The bedding was quite quaint too given the nature of...

After going for a walk in the beautiful surrounding area, I stopped here for Sunday lunch with my friend and her young girl. My friend had Lasagne, it looked delicious. There was chunks of tomatoes and mince - definitely a sign it was home made!! Both me and my friends daughter had a Sunday lunch. I can honestly say that...

Stayed here for two nights, location for Afan Forest Park trails is excellent - both both bikes in easy ride distance. Great welcome and some of the friendliest and helpful staff i have ever come across in the hotel trade. Food is also first class, real value for money and heavily recommended.

The lodge is located on an off road path between Afan visitor centre and Glyncorrwg. They are perfectly set up to look after cyclists with a secure lock up for bikes and on site advise on what and where to ride. The food in the restaurant is of a high standard, meaning that you do not have to og anywhere...

Fantastic place to stay whilst biking in the afan forest. It was our first time on trails feeling very green but the staff and the resident advisor put our minds at rest. Great atmosphere, staff are extremely friendly and efficient. They worked so hard in the restaurant and bar last night. Whole hotel is clean, very difficult I imagine with...

Stayed here before on mtb trip and loved it. Why would you stay anywhere else if riding at Afan? If only there were more places like this next to the good mtb destinations. Clean, spacious rooms with aircon - super secure bike lock up and access to the trails direct from the lodge. Food is plentiful and decent and the...

The lodge was booked and paid for by my girls to celebrate my birthday. The welcome was wonderful and warm. We stayed in the Richard Burton Room that was large and airy with a huge double bed. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful; enough to set you up for a good day's riding. Wyn, the guide, knew the Afan Forest like...
