"Golden Oldie" going up Sani Pass throught the last few corners, the border post, then a cold Maluti beer at the highest pub in Africa (registerd pub) awsome. Looking down the pass from the deck is just Africa. We slept in the Backpackers, clean rooms, clean bathrooms with hot showers and toilets. Nice equipped kitchen with fridge and stoves, and...

The location is simply breathtaking and any photographers dream and that in itself makes it 100% worth while to visit. The track up the pass is an exhilarating drive or hike for the super fit. Unfortunately our whole experience with the lodge was somewhat of a disaster. From reservation stage right through we had issues. We were sent incorrect rates...

we booked by phone a few days before our intended winter stay at the lodge and made full payment via internet. we then learned that we have to have our own gas heater as it gets extremely cold up there. we phoned back same day to say that we are traveling by car and stay at fully equipped chalets etc,...

The view around the lodge was incredible as many reviewers had written, so that itself is already 2 stars out of 5. The area was vast and you could look and look across the mountains, and think you were in heaven when the clouds were beneath you. The night was equally special when the lights went out, as we ventured...

After ascending the sani pass in a biblical thunderstorm the sani mountain lodge was a welcome sight. Offering us a warming bottle of sherry, a friendly smile, and a thoughtful honeymoon gift. The circular huts were very cosy and private with a warm fire that was well tended too and good hot showers. Whilst the rain and mist scuppered our...

We drove up to the lodge from South Africa, KZN side, for a two day stay. The view is spectacular - on the way there and even more so on top. We stayed in the backpacker and had our own room with a bunk bed and a single bed. The room was clean and spacious and the bedding was fresh....

We camped out for two nights over new year's. The views are incredible, and the food was excellent. I would recommend a bit of upgrading at the camping facilities, there were not enough bathrooms for the amount of people that were there, and hot water showers were scarce. All in all a good stay though.

The Sani Mountain Lodge is on the top of the world and looks down on the dreaded Sani Pass into Natal. Our room was spacious and warmed by a very efficient little stove that kept us warm all night. We had the most delicious meal of our entire trip in the restaurant there.

Amazing place in a very very special location. The staff are fantastic and the standard rondavals, although starting to look a little used and in need for a small amount of tlc are still excellent. Overall it is expensive but the food is great and you have to stay there at least once.

We stayed here after a long and wonderful drive across the north of Lesotho from the Maliba Lodge. We had booked at the backpackers because the hotel was full, but fortunately for us they had a cancellation and we managed to get one of the lodge's rondavels. This was well equipped and comfortable though the bathroom was a bit old...
