Good points:

Clean bedding, fairly comfortable bed, the veranda at the back was a fairly pleasant area to sit!
The fridge worked!
Bad points:

Grubby & Sticky
Broken edges to units in the room & bathroom the wash basin was nasty & the shower cubicle not much better, the toilet cistern was bulging, so partially open, making the room spell like a ‘dunny’!!
Crockery & cutlery was dirty
Alsorts of items under the beds, including newspapers, clothing & used crockery, plus lots of dust!
The toaster was rusty, microwave was dirty, bedside tables sticky
The provided armchair sink in the middle so no support!
The swimming pool was very unhygienic, blocked filter & had dead cane toads in it… yuk
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, it was awful.!!!

The beds were comfortable and the location was good for us as it was near Australia Zoo. The receptionist was very friendly when we checked in.

We stayed for one night and that was enough. The shower had a bar of soap left from the previous guest with a hair on it. The rooms were clean except for the carpet, which was so dirty that before we got into bed we had to wash our feet with a flannel, as they were black from walking on the carpet.

Sure it's a basic, but clean old Motel from the 80's, situated out-of-town. The owners/staff are really wonderful and make you feel at home. I am cycling and booked in late, but they waited for me to arrive in the dark. Gave me fresh milk for my tea, some biscuits to go and even a gift of some sunscreen for the road. Nice down to earth people. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Potential guests…. exercise caution when booking here!!! The lady we dealt with was VERY rude and unprofessional. Check-in is from 2pm, and we courteously informed her that we would likely arrive around 5pm. However, we arrived around 3:45pm, only to find the room was not ready. When check-in is listed as starting from 2pm, one would expect the room to be ready by that time, not waiting until you arrive to begin the cleaning. Despite notifying her of our later arrival, we returned at 5:15pm to find her just finishing cleaning the room.

Additionally, the room had a strong smell of paint fumes, the bathroom door wouldn't shut, and the back door didn't lock. The room was also dirty and dusty.

Overall a very unpleasant experience.

The hosts won't tell the truth. The motel is dirty and univiting. We booked our unit 10 months ago via email for a wedding for 2 nights. I confirmed in writing 2 months ago. Again confirmed via text 4 days before our stay. Sonja rang at 2pm the day of check-in and told us that they had a plumbing problem in the room and couldn't get a plumber. She then said the owner refused to allow them to ring the emergency plumber. We made other arrangements for the Friday night (at a large cost to ourselves as everything was booked out). When we arrived on the Saturday, Tony & Sonja proceeded to give us the run around with multiple reasons why we couldn't stay in the room or even view the room. When I pushed about seeing the room, they finally admitted that they had triple booked the room. They were rude and unhelpful. We were left with no options for any accommodations for that night. We asked to speak to the owner - they assured us that they would give our phone number to the owner. (I since emailed and asked again for this to happen). 5 days later we are still waiting. Whilst onsite we viewed a friend's room and it was dirty and smelly. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

There's not much on offer out there when travelling with a dog, this place ticks all of the boxes. The rooms are spacious , there's a nice area out the back, the bathrooms large . Good family space if you need it. There's a restaurant across the highway or a short drive to the village where there are a number of choices. Room came equipped with plates, knives, forks etc , Microwave .Bedding and pillows seemed quiet new and the bed was comfortable , Friendly staff made for a good nights break.

Checked in and checked out 5 mins later.
Booked a pet friendly room and it was disgusting. The smell was over powering.
The carpet was stained, the bathroom was dirty and had holes in the walls patched up with plaster.
Do better people, the man at reception was nice but just didn’t get it, his reply was “that’s why it’s a pet friendly room” when I told him the room stunk and it was filthy. He did refund my $260 for 2 nights. But get this they charge $15 extra for a pet friendly room. It’s old and dirty, I’m okay with old but dirty and smelly is not for me or my dog.

when we arrived the manager was very rushed as he had to go and play golf/bowls very unprofessional. The room was very old with dated furniture and the second bed was placed directly under the air conditioner. went outside to the patio area to find an ashtray full of butts on the table, disgusting. There was no spare toilet roll and only half a roll by the loo. No spare pillows even though there was a cupboard with a notice saying spare pillows inside. The main bed was shocking with the second single bed very uncomfortable. TV set very dated with loose wires surrounding it. The power point were coming off the wall, very unsafe. The so called free wifi was non existent could not get even 1 bar. Saw the manager and was told that she had no problem getting it in the office!!!!!!!. The place needs a total refurbishment. There was a lot of traffic during the night so very little sleep. The table was very stained and dirty, we had to clean it before use.!!!!!
WE WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS PLACE AGAIN. PLEASE INSPECT YOUR ROOM BEFORE PAYING!!!!!!

If you want a flea pit and old run down Motel to stay..........well then maybe this is the place for you !!! The grounds are unkept, the Motel is very old and shabby. The reception area is an absolute disgrace outside. Obviously they don't have an onsite gardener !!! There are chooks running around the place, people playing guitars & ferals of some kind everywhere. The rooms are old and the furniture needs to be taken to the tip. Honestly I was so shocked by the room that I had to open a bottle of wine to get through this nightmare !!!
Obviously I am not alone with my review as there are many others similar to mine.
I am silly as I should have checked trip advisor before I booked this crappy accommodation.
It has been a learning curve and I wont do this again.
Message to owner.... take note of all these comments from people otherwise you wont last much longer in business.
