Sure it's a basic, but clean old Motel from the 80's, situated out-of-town. The owners/staff are really wonderful and make you feel at home. I am cycling and booked in late, but they waited for me to arrive in the dark. Gave me fresh milk for my tea, some biscuits to go and even a gift of some sunscreen for the road. Nice down to earth people. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Do be warned, it is in the back-blocks, it is very old and some things (like some of the furniture) are falling apart. But it is pleasant, roomy and the hosts cant do enough for you, so I'd come back. The TV remote, fridge and aircon are challenging to work, and there are very few mod cons, there is free wifi and a pool. But we stayed for 3 nights, were out all day and slept very comfortably all night. Rooms and beds are comfortable. Do remember it's also pet friendly and we had a delightful Rotweiller next door, and being next to a paddock, the expected field mice. So if you are not fussy, then you will love it.

This motel is very old. It needs a lot of money spent here. New modern furniture, new beds, new pillows, remove the carpet from the floors, right size toilet seats so you do not get the inside of your legs pinched and bigger towels. Allan the owner is very friendly, but has probably been here to long and cannot see the problems. The mattress I am sleeping on has spring popping out when I go to get into bed. If the accommodation around the area was not so expensive I probably would not stay here

If you want modern 5star accomodation this is not for you. But if a very roomy. well appointed, well located, well priced room is what you want then this is the place. Everything was in the room that we needed & the bed very comfy. Only a couple of minutes from Australia Zoo. Would certainly stay there again.

ONLY GIVING ONE STAR BECAUSE I CAN'T LEAVE A REVIEW WITHOUT IT! Our first issue was that the rooms we initially booked online, were not actually available when we arrived so they downgraded us. The room they put us in was filthy and had an awful smell. There were squashed cockroaches on the carpets, it looked like they hadn't vacuumed for weeks! The white sheets weren't clean and were very stained. The single bed in the room was right under an old window airconditioner so anyone sleeping in the bed would be hitting their head all night. The 2 chairs, in a room for 4 people were filthy and smelly. No smoke alarms in the place. We stayed less than an hour and in that time we had 4 live (giant size) cockroaches crawl over the bed, ceiling and walls! We couldn't wait to get the hell out of there before booking in somewhere else, showering and feeling clean again. Absolutely disgusting accommodation!!! I can handle old and run down, but unsafe, smelly, dirty and full of cockroaches is not something anyone should have to deal with when paying for accommodation!!
