Very central location, the rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was friendly and helpful. Stayed here one night with my mom to visit a relative in town. The best part was the amazing Swedish breakfast. So much variety and it was very fresh and good. Could just come here for that.

The hotel is situated in the middle of the town and therefore close to most of what you might be interested in as a tourist. However, be prepared that the hotel is right now being remodeled in several ways. If you are just looking for a place to spend the night, eat and sleep - you will be OK here,...

First stayed at the Valhalla about Feb this year. Things were messy and smelly. But now we have a first calss restaurant, and very popular with locals. Serves excellent meals at night, breakfast is quite varied/smorgasboard. Rooms spacious, and would recomend the business rooms, and you get more for not much more in cost. Very centrally loacted, in the centrum,...

We were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade and also a meal in the bistro which was separate from the packed...

I don't wish to sully the reputation of any decent hotel. I'm sure maintaining the hotel, has taken some effort. The staff I encountered was nice. However, the room suffers nearly constant loud noise. Whether it be the plumbing pipes, the neighbors, or the elevator shaft- it was as noisy as a zoo. The staircase floors need bleach or disinfectant...

We stayed there one night while passing through Kalix. It is well located in the centre of Kalix. Although the lobby and the dining room are well designed and clean it is not true for the rooms. First the carpets both in the corridors and in the rooms are dirty and should be changed. My room was not cleaned properly....

Just home from Sweden having had a week at the Valhall in Kalix, the last time I was here was 7 years ago and I had some "fun" in the Valhall and just stayed one night! This time was different though and the Hotel is pretty good. The room, although small and basic was quite comfortable but they do need...
