We arrived at this onsen thinking that we might have overpaid and really not knowing what to expect. We were overwhelmed, from our arrive to our departure. The staff took care of everything including taking care of our bags, apparel for our stay, & travel back to Narita. The price of the stay included a fabulous breakfast and a kaiseki...

I had the most amazing stay at this ryokan. We stayed here only for one night. My group arrived early for check in and our room wasn't ready but we were able to browse the beautiful garden, have a wonderful hot spring foot soak in the gardens as well as a traditional tea ceremony before check in. When we checked...

We stayed for one night here. The hotel is a bit secluded from everything so I suggest going to the Kawaguchiko or Fujisan station and let the information counter staff call the hotel to pick you up. The moment we get to the hotel we were greeted kindly by staff and they show us to our room. We were given...

The surrounding and environment of the hotel has a great view. There was warm service upon arrival. However, do be careful of the room type. It looks very nice and spacious on pictures but the actual room does not look like that. I booked a Japanese Western Room for 3 people on Agoda which supposedly should fit well. Unfortunately, it...

We visited the Hotel Kaneyamaen in January 2017 and booked one of the "Yuraku Luxury Japanese Style Rooms with Open Air Bath with the Mt.Fuji View" for one night. We decided to drive up from Tokyo and found it to be an easy and enjoyable drive; a little over an hour and a half. A friend recommended Kozantei Ubuya but...

The most amazing ryokan hotel with some of the best views of Mount Fuji!!! First ryokan I've been to and the experience was amazing! The hotel's staff were some of the friendliest people I've met, especially at the desk where they provide helpful information about travelling to the next destination (if you haven't had time to plan that part). The...

Really impressive hotel. With ryokan style rooms. The food was absolutely amazing. Multiple courses, with amazing presentation!! Breakfast buffet was well stocked as well. Rooms are nice. Ours had a private onsen on the balcony. Bathrooms are traditional style and as they are linked to the balcony fairly cold in the winter. The rooftop Onsen has some amazing views of...

Really unique and lovely hotel. Huge hotel with stunning gardens and great staff. The onsen on the roof overlooking Mt Fuji on a clear morning is worth the visit alone. The hotel is way away from everything, but has everything you could need. I wish we stayed an extra night.

Coming off the train, the hotel provided a complimentary driver to pick us up. He also offered to take us to local restaurants and shrines. When we arrived, a nice lady gave us a tour of the hotel and made us tea. Our room was a typical ryokan style, with low tables, tatami floor, kotatsu, etc. We booked massages, which...
