After a 400km motorcycle serendipity brought us to this beautifully renovated, clean and cozy motel. Very friendly staff. The breakfast is phenomenal. I am very fussy about eggs benedict. I asked about the ingredients in the hollandaise sauce. So our waitress offered to give me a sample. I was sold! A slight hint of lemon in this scrumptious recipe. It...

I went there last week because we had a race. The guy from the staff who received us gave us an awesome service, he was welcoming and was even making jokes which was nice. We only slept there for a night, but it was really cozy, we slept well. I think they have renovated some of the rooms and it...

We spent two nights here, for the price that we paid it was great, the room is nothing special, but it is clean and comfortable, breakfast was not much food, but it was all fine, staffs are very kind.

We came here for a surprise 30th birthday. I thought it was going to be a small crummy motel- WOW we were soooo pleasantly surprised. Cute rooms, sound proof, great staff! Will defiantly be making a trip back in the summer! This was exactly what we wanted!

This is a small, casual, country motel run by people who really care. The food is delicious and servings are huge! The Cafe has many repeat customers. Each motel room is different, and the furnishings are well-loved and eclectic. There is no ostentation here; this place does not pretend to be up-to-the-minute. A few rooms have been renovated but most...

This place was great. Clean, comfortable and close to everything in Wakefield. Newly renovated rooms with very comfy beds, clean cute small washroom are well done and nicely decorated. We would stay there again, such a great deal. This is a gem. The restaurant was a great spot for breakfast too. It's a busy spot for Sunday brunch.

The location is great: it's just a short walk into town, and there's a good gift shop right across the street. You can walk to a nice restaurant for dinner, have some wine, and no one has to drive home. And the walk is beautiful of course because it follows the wide expanse of the Gatineau River. Back to the...

I was pleased with the small town charm of the Alpengruss but not impressed that it was dirty. The overall cleanliness of the room was disappointing and unfortunately we did find the previous guests clothing hanging on the back of the bathroom door. (Forgotten then missed by housekeeping) The motel is rustic, but is trying to make a comeback. No...

Let me start with a positive....the bed was comfortable...but it was like it was being built and not finished. Felt like a summer camp bunkie...unfinished wood....open duct work and rough u finished closet ... Have had a lot better for the price I paid for this place....and then confusion in the morning if the room had been paid for or...

The motel was fairly clean, but there's a great difference in quality between the newly renovated rooms and the never renovated, '60s era rooms, both of which cost the same price! By chance I was booked into one of the older rooms and my friend, who made her reservation much later than I did, in a newer room. I could...
