While traveling through Sweden with 2 other couples, we spent one night at Smålandsgården Gästgiveri. Unfortunately, it was only one night and the weather was poor to boot. We would have loved to stay longer and enjoy Lake Örensjön. We stayed in a double room with a small balcony and a slight view of the lake. The building is older...

Had a wonderful visit here and will certainly go back again. Really Superb meal. Charming country setting. Hosts were incredibly warm, friendly and helpful. A great night at a very fun musical trivia night. Enjoyed every minute. Go there! Highly recommend!

Very charming hotel far enough away from the bigger cities (Jonkoping is about 40 km). Nice view on the lake and forest. Hotel rooms are nicely decorated, well equipped (no mini bar). Only negative point was the state of the bath room, which could do with some renovation (shower curtain was dirty). Free WiFi works good. For the rest a...

A truly delightful place just off the beaten track of the motorway. A tranquil environment backed up with genuinely friendly, welcoming service. I am so glad to have found this hotel and can wholeheartedly recommend it. The buffet food is excellent and repeated at breakfast.

On our way to northern Sweden we stayed one night! Cosy room, great BBQ, morning run by the lake just outside the hotel... And when came back the waitress waited with fresh coffee for the runners! Very nice breakfast! Will come back!

Really nice, family friendly setting with cosy rooms, beautiful environment with garden, swimming, boating hang-out facilities. Our family of four (including teo small children) went there 2014 with another family, also with small children, and will be back this year with grandparents and cousins. Highly recommended for an idyllic, easy-going, relaxing time. Only backlash was lack if lunch facilities (breakfast...

Wonderful and surprising find after getting disillusioned with the overpriced (even by Swedish standards) hotel schlock in Granna. Very accommodating hosts and excellent breakfast. Setting is great and I would recommend anyone to take this 10km drive out of town to find it/

Originally the plan was to have an overnight stay here as we (me, my partner and two young boys) were traveling through and visiting various family attractions in the south of Sweden. But we fell in love with this enchanting little hotel pretty much immediately, and decided to change our plans. Luckily we were able to stay a second night,...

Charming hotel in beautiful location. My wife and I stayed there for 2 nights and really enjoyed our time there. It is located next to lake with its own private beach. Grounds and surrounding areas are unique and wonderful. There are lots of places to see and relax while taking in the breathtaking views. We had Bar-b-que on our first...

The hotel is located in a rural, idyllic place. Small surprising that there was no menu. Was referred to a buffet. The wine list was a little "short", red or white. When asked for specific variety, there were only the red or white. Anyhow, a charming place though unfortunately untidy and dusty. In swedish "dammråttor". If you search a place...
