My family has been visiting Shirdi every year and each time that we have been there, we have stayed at Pilgrim's Inn for its fantastic location. You step out of the hotel and you can see the entrance to the temple.
This MTDC hotel is just besides the Sai Temple. It has all the basic facilities like Elevators, Hot-Cold Water, Parking, Restaurant etc. Rooms are quite big, but not sparkling clean.
Deluxe rooms have a couch also, where one additional adult can sleep.

This is not a 5-star or even a 3-star place, nor does it pretend to be anything else than a Pilgrims' Inn. It is run by GoM, with heavily overworked and sincere staff who do their best, going as much out of the way for the pilgrims as they can. It is ingrained in every staff member i met that the guests are not merely guests, but are essentially pilgrims. If we, guests, also bear in mind that we are pilgrims, all wrinkles are likely to be ironed out smoothly. The best rooms/suites can always benefit from helpful suggestions from pilgrim-guests to the receptive management.
