Good sized rooms. Clean. Varied food choice. Friendly staff. Great view out towards lake and surrounding hills. Generally quiet unless there is a function. Safe car parking area. Grounds well kept and tidy

Isamilo Lodge is well located on a rocky hill overlooking Mwanza and Lake Victoria. When I stayed there, it was still undergoing extensive renovations that need a little loving attention. My room in the new part of the lodge was beautiful, large, and very comfortable. Would have preferred to have a mosquito net over my bed instead of the screen... More

Loved the Isamilo. Rooms where clean, shower could be a lot better (little water, getting hot and cold alternating), nice view, excellent restaurant (although way too much coctail sauce on the prawns cocktail) and the staff is just wonderful. So friendly and helpful and nice and well trained. Very very nice and welcoming after the death tiring trip through Serengeti.... More

I stayed here as a tourist for 5 days and was impressed overall although some parts of the hotel are clearly a continuing development project. The manager, Darmesh, is a font of wisdom and help and appears to know everyone in the area, which was invaluable. The new block is impressive although not yet complete. The older block seems to... The hotel was ok for the money we paid. The condition, restaurant and cleanliness of the room and hotel was good. My complaint lies with the usage of the pool by large group of non swimmers. Dog padding pass kicking and floundering around, holding on the edge of the pool and wanting you to move so they could continue around... More

I am living in Mwanza for almost 6 months now. This hotel has the best Indian food in this town. Service is also good and fast in comparison to other hotels in Mwanza. If you are in Mwanza and want to eat Indian food then this is the best place for you.

The food is very good especially their Indian menu, and well priced They are currently building a large extension which when finished promises to make this hotel a real gem.
