Was just in Italy last week, and was taken there by some friends to have lunch and visit the place.
The food was out of this world, with fresh picked mushrooms from the forest, all fresh ingredients.
Would most certainly spend a few days there!!

When we travel we always try to take the most of everything! Siena, and its surroundings, is a fantastic location for a few days getaways and if one is driven by food in Siena and in Tuscany in general, it is pretty an easy task ....but accommodation sometimes is a surprise as having not been to your hotel before you don't know what to expect. This time we have been so lucky in having discovered the best combination in this Agriturismo that truly, is a bit far from Siena town, but it is a great reward! The location is in the middle of the Siena hills on the top of the Montagnola so from there you are surrounded by truly Tuscan natural landscapes, very well preserved and decorated by Ivano and Francesca, a young mature couple running it extremely efficiently! He is an artist, a chef, a carpenter, but most of all, he is full of wisdom and very interesting in conversation. She is the master of details, giving a special touch to the rooms adding here and there colors and products of nature, a dry bouquet of lavender or a bouquet of cauliflower with perfect balance!
And the crew is not yet over as we need to add the sweetest little 12 year old daughter Margherita that has amused us during dinner (fantastic by the way) with her smiles and curiosities! I am very pleased to recommend this Agriturismo for every type of traveller as long as available for ...an enchanted stay, away from the crowd!!!

A group of us came here on a guided walk and couldn't believe our good fortune. The food and ambience were so incredible we came back as a group a second time.

This sweet little restaurant is a bit out of the way, but oh so worth it. The chef and his wife are artists in every sense of the word. Their meals and hospitality are authentic, home- grown and homemade but with a modern flare! We had a mouth-watering turkey scallopini with a wine sauce, delicious and creative crostini, and a rich and elegant creamy soup with layers of flavor. Our group of seven agreed our meals here were the best we had in Italy. The hosts do not speak English well, but they are warm and friendly. Enjoy! We would come back any chance we had.

The review must be a do-it-all for those who read it, therefore it must be said that the farmhouse is located at the end of a long, very bumpy dirt road, which can exhaust enthusiasm. The appearance is rural and many things seem left to themselves. Slightly retro chairs, tables, fences, little attention to detail guaranteed in other Tuscan farmhouses. Basic rooms, they fit well into the context, there are no extra towels for the pool and cleaning is done every 2 days, shovels for cooling, there is no air conditioning. The excellent restaurant, the swimming pool not very large compared to other structures, clean but does not include a shower or the obligation to wear caps. Nature reigns, but it can be improved.

The structure has positive and negative sides but, all in all, I would recommend it to anyone who needs peace and tranquility for a few days. Located at the top of a beautiful wooded mountain, unfortunately with a dirt road, the farm is practically an ancient small village with its own rural appearance but which I found fascinating. Swimming pool that was cleaned daily, the rooms do not offer all the services that many other farmhouses guarantee, one does not even have a window and this was the detail for which I did not grant an extra star on the rating. On the other hand, we must underline the kindness and helpfulness of the managers and, above all, the cuisine which is worthy, if not superior, of many praised restaurants. A true pearl in the menus, from the preparation of the dishes and the flavors and the credit goes entirely to Mrs. Veruska with whom my wife and I personally negotiated.
Having said that, I believe that with some tweaks to the details this structure can establish itself and excel.

The family running this place were very friendly. the apartment was very clean, it could be a little bit warmer during the night. you will have home made bread, cakes, tarts and jams which are very nice. Very beautiful views. it was not very easy to get to this place. it is quite secluded in the middle of the hills and you have to drive a bit through the woods and hilly roads to get here. it took us about 20 minutes to get to the accommodation from the closest town which is Sovicille. Siena is even further. So if you like to stay in the middle of mountain and a very quiet place for a few days here is a very good choice, however, if you like to be closer to Siena and you want one night stay perhaps it is better to save travelling time and stay somewhere closer. wifi did not work in room but okay in common area.

We stayed here for two nights. It was fantastic! The location is idyllic, the room was beautiful. There is so much attention to beautiful details: a pot with a flowering plant here or a little decorative detail there. We had dinner there both evenings. It was delicious and very reasonably priced at 20€ pp for four courses. The owners were so friendly and welcoming. We can’t wait to come back!

Wow, what an amazing place! The owners, Francesca and Ivano, along with their amazing staff, the stunning, stand-alone apartment felt like Home. Ivano is also the chef and cooked insanely good, typical Tuscan food. They have a set meal, 4 courses of beautifully presented food with Ivano’s unique take for &20 pp excluding drinks.
The Former farmhouse and outbuildings have been restored to a very high standard and are comfortable and very clean and the seemingly isolated location led to a sense of tranquility, while only 25 minutes drive to Siena. I felt like I was among friends. Can’t wait to return!

The place is amazingly quite and relaxing. The staff are very friendly and cordial, but the most importantly, always available when you need them. This place is perfect if you wants to see the most beautiful landscape of Toscane. You will definitely fall in love.

I will be back for sure!

From the moment we arrived, we were in love with this agriturismo. The owners clearly care deeply about their farm. Poggio doesn't feel like a business, but more like being part of a family. Attention to detail is impeccable - the rooms are charming, well kept, and every amenity is in place before you ask for it. We felt like royalty.
