Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We spent a night here while in town for a cooking class at the Spirit House cooking school. The staff was very friendly and showed us to our room and helped out when we had problems with the air conditioner.

The room was on the smallish side but more than adequate for one night. The queen size bed was comfortable and had nice linen. The smallish TV screen was mounted fairly high up the wall so watching it from the one chair that the room had involved looking skyward. The window didn't open but the AC worked well.

The bathroom was a good size, fairly modern and very clean. There wasn't any shampoo or bar of soap but there were two very small tubes of body wash.

All in all we had a fairly comfortable stay. The only reason I am giving it a 3 star rating instead of a 4 star rating is that at $175 is is quite over priced compared with the many other country hotels and motels that we frequently stay in. A price of around $130 to 140 would make this a good value for money stay.

The service was really great, the bars meals were very good value for money. We had the steak, they came with large servings of vegetables or salad. They have a nice beer garden. Highly recommend, well worth the drive.

Just smashed a chicken schnitty with an icy cold schooner of Great Nothern. Sun is shining and the world is a beautiful place. Worth the drive and may have a sleepover. Give it a crack...doubt you'll regret it.

PS Your Mates Brewery beers on tap. I can recommend Larry's IPA.

Took a friend for lunch for her birthday. We both had the special of seared Barramundi on mushroom risotto for $30. Barramundi was tasteless and mine was watery. Risotto not so tasty either with rocket that was past its day. Slow service too, so overall disappointing as I have eaten there previously and been happy, not today. No staff on hand to complain to when we left.

All we wanted was a drink, got sworn at by the locals who were out front. Told us to go somewhere in Gympie. They were mad that we had tattoos, which they assumed meant we weren't allowed to exist near them.
Owner needs to control his clientele if he wants any tourism to this area.
Rude.

The woman behind the counter taking our order did not manage a smile at all, and was barely communicative. Um, you're in the customer service industry, so if you would rather do something that means not interacting with customers with a pleasant attitude then go and pick fruit or something. The food was okay but we wouldn't rush back especially with such totally unfriendly staff.

Only had a couple of starters as share plates in a group and all were good . There was a good selection, service was quick and friendly and the beer garden was a good venue. Friendly family atmosphere and a courtesy bus also available. Accommodation still being renovated but bar / dining area was clean and new.

Stayed at the hotel with a few friends for the weekend. Lovely place, great service, clean rooms, and a restaurant that is streets ahead of typical pub fare. My excellent surf n turf was cooked beautifully and my wife’s pasta was amazing. Will order that one next time. Prices were fine and in line with what we expected, even though the meals were top shelf. Good service, even on a busy Saturday night. Top marks.

Excellent food with very reasonable prices. Attentive and friendly staff.
Easy walk to the town centre, with other restaurants close by if you choose.

We booked into the Yandina Hotel simply because it was close to a business who was doing some work on a friends motorbike. What a great find! Extremely good value, very friendly and helpful staff and very nicely renovated and very comfortable rooms. The pub looks like it was built a century ago (and parts of it were) but it has a modern restaurant, good wine list and an overall cheerful disposition. What a great find!
