Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Close to Highway. Set up tent for one night.
Camping ground was very hard, only managed to hammer in 3 tent pegs. Take a decent size hammer.
Tent Campers only get access to Port a Loos and Port a Showers, when toilet and shower block was barely used. That was disappointing. Grounds were clean and tidy, powered camp spot small, about 2 metres away from RVs.

Amenities filthy, moudly and made me sick.
I feel sorry for the permanent residents paying rent there in dodgy looking "caravans"who have no other choice. Spoke to a couple of residents and there is nothing they can do. Awful place.

Website looks OK - dont be fooled.

We stayed in a superior villa there wasn’t to much superior the showers were nice hot water and good size.

Then plastic chairs and a very low timber lounge, no outdoor area at all to sit outside.
Not enough towels for a towel each.
The parking spot is very little couldn’t get a four wheel drive in your parking bay so people park on the road blocking access.
It’s not somewhere we would stay again

It just wasn’t a good experience

Extremely clean amenities, which are about to be knocked down and rebuilt. Worth staying on the riverbank which is a grassed area in a caravan it's very peaceful down there overlooking South Maroochy River. They have a pool & a spa & free BBQ amenities. It also has a laundry with plenty of clothes lines & it also has a baby bath in it.
The staff fantastic, friendly & always willing to help at a drop of a hat. All the permanent residents onsite are friendly. It's a very quiet beautiful caravan park which the owners are about to do a lot of renovations, not that I feel that they need to do them the park is great as it is.

After reading reviews I didn’t expect much but was pleasantly surprised. The park is being revamped slowly and offers good facilities but could get better:

1. Great new amenity block but having a 2 minute timer on the light switch is a PITA, maybe look at a movement sensor with 5 minute timeout?

2. New showers are OK but lack clothes hooks (have 1) and also lack a place to put shampoo etc.

BBQ area is nice but not a great alternative to a camp kitchen with an oven and good washing up facilities. New cabins look nice, garden landscaping is great. Yes there are a few permanents but why wouldn’t there be, there is a housing crisis and they have a solid roof, and certainly didn’t detract from my stay, in fact I reckon having some constant eyes on the park is a good thing.

Overall a good stay, no real issues although park could do with better lighting.

Stayed one night in a 4 bed new cabin, clean and modern, would have liked a bedside light. Park having toilet block Reno done, will be great once completed.
We would stay again, close to Nambour garden expo.

$90 a night for a couple you would expect at least cleanliness. Not only was it old and in need of upgrade it was dirty. Sand & dirt all over the lounge with ripped fabric. Sand in the bed, toilet didn't flush sometimes. Rust and dirt all over over the floor. Curtains were torn and filthy with grease and dirt all over them. Yuk yuk yuk

We had no where else to go we were going to the Showground but it was locked and useless caretakers don't answer their phone until the next day lot of use that was, if we saw the park in the daytime we wouldn't have stopped.
The managers or owners were nice but past their value to a park they should retire and get new people in to fully renovate.
We had no power or water $30 for the night in a paddock surrounded by unfortunate people obviously out of their situation stuck their permanently. The bathroom block which my husband went to down in the paddock had all broken soap holders mouldy broken ceiling shower roses that wouldn't stay up, it's about time the council went in their under OH and S policy on safety. It's like the poor people living their have no where else other than homeless that's why they stay.
The place is filthy and dirty and that's what's on the surface can't believe it's allowed to operate.
