My wife and I really enjoyed our short stay at this hotel. Our room faced the water, as did the balcony where we enjoyed the warm breeze and watching the comings and goings of the local people. Fernando Sr. was particularly welcoming and came to our rescue one morning when we couldn't find coffee in town. Sarteneja is not easy...

Came here on a business trip and just left today. Decently clean room, my bed was hard and creaked at my every movement. Appreciated the AC. Wifi was so spotty and the password they provided us did not always work unfortunately. Beautiful view, cannot beat the view. My guest and I felt very unwelcome. Fernando kicked us out early from...

Very welcoming and friendly family. Spotless room, that overlooked the ocean, complete with wifi capable TV and Netflix for my two young boys. Good value and a very positive introduction to a beautiful village. I will definitely be back

Sarteneja is a sleepy little community in the Corozal District, quite a distance away from the buzz of everyday life! My family stayed at Fernando's guesthouse, a family operated small hotel! We were impressed with how helpful the owners were and it was also very clean, which we all appreciated! The destination itself is very small and we were unable...

We stayed at Fernando's Nov 2015, and it was very nice for the location. Rooms were very, very clean. Fresh towels and toiletries every day to include washcloths. Beds were comfy and accommodated our American Sized expectations for our family of four. Area was safe, we even let our children play at the pier and park with minimal supervision. At...

We had a three night stay in this unique "hotel". It's the best place to stay in this peaceful fishing village . In front of the sea , beautiful views from your private balcony . Room was spacious and clean. Beds very comfortable and bath room plus shower top. Internet free and fast, impressive. On top Fernando and family are...

We found both Fernando and Fernando Jr. to be friendly, welcoming and very service oriented. The rooms are simple but super clean and quiet. The location can't be beat if you're arriving or leaving on the Thunderbolt water taxi. It's also close to Pablito's restaurant - a great place for dinner.

Spent a night here. Clean, cool, quiet Guest House. Friendly owner. Bug free environment, hot and cold shower. Absolutely no complains. I expected some kind of restaurant or grill here but there was none. Walking distance to everything, sits on the sea shore.

“As of Feb. 2014, all 5 rooms were the same rate and had the same amenities. Some have 1 bed, some have 2 beds. Only two rooms are seafront. One seafront room has a private balcony. The other seafront room has good views, but may not be so private when your curtains are open and there are people on the common veranda which is right outside your window.”
