The first room I was given (on the 1st floor) was a disaster. The second room I was given on the 2nd floor was a bit better but none of the wifi signals work in the room. It only works in the lobby. Reception dont really seem to care and no point in asking someone to try and fix it...

I have been coming to Port Sudan annually some times twice a year for business and staying in this hotel since 2009. At that time this hotel was great, the best in town, but every year it kept deteriorating, the reason... They simply ignore maintenance! The furniture got old, the carpet is smelly, the bathrooms almost always has something not...

Have stayed in this hotel many times. Amenities are good and Pool is excellent as is the breakfast buffet. Rooms are fine with wonderful views of the Port from the front. There is a nice Garden to wander around. Stands next to the colonial British Governor's old residence. Ample standby generators are onsite to cope with power cuts. If you...

We stayed there 2D/3N , check in procedure was pretty quick due to low occupancy. We paid extra 30% to get the room with safety box which was not working at all. We asked the receptionist to fix or replace it but they didn't do anything until we check out. When we came back at evening after long day snorkelling,...

Not many tourists (except for the scuba-diving enthusiasts who love diving into the coral beds of the Red Sea) travel to Sudan, a nation in the North of African continent neighboring Egypt to its left, but all those who do visit there for business or humanitarian/ NGO work or otherwise would find a visit to the country's port city of...

This place has so much potential - a lovely old building, prime location, fixtures and fittings that once would have been quite lovely. Unfortunately, what lets this place down is the appalling management and complete lack of customer service. Toilets didn't flush, plumbing leaked, the safe didn't lock, carpets were filthy, the TV has intermittent sound that cut in and...

Starting with the good: the swimming pool and area, and that is all. Relaxing surroundings and really warm water, albeit rather murky (? Too much chlorine). And now the bad: everything else. ROOM. The standard room was adequate in size, wardrobe space, lighting and bathroom facilities, but, BUT the room smelt musty (fungi), the carpet was very dirty and stained,...
