Love this place. Great view from the cabin. Cabin was clean. Dog was allowed. Walked the private beach every day, very peaceful and serene place. Staff was very nice and made you feel at home. A great place to go and get away from it all. Their continental breakfast was amazing and had variation from day to day - homemade... More

The Markland was the highlight of our 3 week holiday in Nova Scotia. We were 2 couples travelling together and had a triplex which we very much enjoyed; the middle section was a well equipped kitchen unit that served as a meeting place for the group. The bedroom units are rustic, clean with comfortable beds; no TV as previously mentioned.... More

We stayed at an air bnb right near The Markland and needed somewhere to go for dinner. We made a reservation here for dinner and it did not disappoint. All of our dishes were excellent. Kim, the manager there was very friendly and made our dinner that much better.

I didn't stay in the cottages but did eat in the restaurant, and it was delicious. Great service and really nice dining room as well. Had the blueberry pie for dessert...it was an excellent decision. The premises was well staffed and very clean, which I'm sure reflects upon the conditions of the cabins.

Wonderful views, but with rainy weather we could not enjoy all the property has to over on our one night stay. The bed and linens were quite nice. As stated, no TV and wifi only at office building. Older log triplexes a bit dated. Nice shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. At the end of September, no place even close to eat.... More

We were there for three nights in a 2 bedroom Cabin. Here is a quick pros / cons. Pros - The view is incredible. Beautiful beach. We swam a bunch. Breakfast is certainly a step-up from most. Our kids really liked the board games. Cons - Thought the 2 bedroom cabin is a touch over priced. If you're a couple... More

Staff are great and so is the food. Wonderful seafood dishes. We were in Unit 25, which is the end unit of a 3 unit row type of building. It was rather dark and the bathroom was small but the bed and linens were fantastic. We did not want to get out of bed in the morning. However there is... More

... Is worth every kilometre. Absolute peace in a rustic cabin; the morning sun pouring through the front window; the sandy beach a couple of minutes across the grass. The idyllic place to unwind and make a base for seeing the northern part of the island. Rustic - the cabin (8) needs some TLC, but the housekeepers do a good... More

We had a wonderful stay at The Markland Coastal Beach Cottages a few days ago while touring the Cabot Trail. We were fortunate that we made reservations as the cottages - we counted 15 - appeared to be almost full, even on a rainy day. Our 2-bedroom cottage which we shared with a couple from Ontario, was very comfortable. We... More

this stopping off point along the Cabot Trail is a MUST. Well situated on 9 miles of private beach , each cottage has everything a traveller requires. The menu in the dining room was brief in choices but what was available was well prepared and delicious.
