We stayed here before attempting to summit Chimborazo which due to weather was not possible. A beautiful lodge with spectacular scenery, Chimborazo looms above the lodge though often covered by clouds. The rooms are cozy, the beds comfortable and the showers hot. The lodge as wells the cabins, all which have 4 rooms, are decorated with mountaineering decor especially the...

Hotel is very high up in the mountains and very close to the Chimborazo. Therefore excellent base to explore the region and do walks (there was also a group of climbers preparing to climb the summit). Hotel is close to the "highway", but still located in a quiet valley where you will find some wildlife including colibris. Rooms with excellent...

What an amazing place to stay. I went to Ecuador to climb Mt. Chimborazo, and this was the ultimate lodge to stay at in preparation for the climb. It is very isolated without cell phone signal or internet. Just you and nature. But the lodge and the hosts were amazing!! Mr. Cruz and his wife who own the lodge are...

... you find this homely lodge, run and owned by Marco Cruz, he is a well known mountain climber. coming from the mighty mountain with a climb up to 5300m we were happy to have a rest here at the very comfortable lounge/restaurant/sitting area. i felt relaxed here, furnitures and decoration in warm colors and friendly people around you. unfortunately...

You will be taken away from everything, where only a volcano, lamas and wild birds will keep you company in the most beautiful, well equipped, modern chalet. Make sure you ask for the newly built chalet when you book. Dinner and breakfast are included. They won't be your best meal but they are more than good. The place is just...

I really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are so comfortable and surprisingly warm for the cold temperatures outside. The lodge where the meals are served is very cozy. The food is delicious! Of course, the best part of the lodging is the view of Chimborazo itself. The property sits at the base of Chimborazo where some professional mountain climbers...

It's one of the places I'll never forget in my life! We stayed here just one afternoon and one night while travelling from Cotopaxi to Cuenca. It's not easy to get used to this altitude but the atmosphere, the wonderful view, the nice rooms, the perfect dinner help a lot in feeling "at home". We enjoyed walking with lama and...

There is one big plus: the rooms and common areas are as comfortable and stylish as it can get, and considering the altitude, it's by no means too expensive. And there is one big minus: the management and the staff are truly aweful. To pick one example: My girlfriemd had severe altitude sickness and needed transport to Riobamba immediately. The...

We went there during our drive from Quito to Cuenca. The place is exactly what we expected. A well hidden jewel at the foot of the volcano. The rooms are so comfortable ( big comforters and alpaca blankets in a Wooden comfortable bed) the little wooden chalets so nice. You feel really well when you arrive here. By the way,...

The lodge is high up at about 13,000 feet on the Chimborazo volcano. There is very little else around you, so you feel completely surrounded by nature. The view of the volcano and the wild grasses changes constantly with shifting clouds. Hummingbirds land on your window sill, alpacas shift around the landscape much like the mist, and small rabbits and...

“We loved our room in the building with Wymper room. We had two rooms, this one and the one across the hall (can't remember the name, believe it began with H). This was on the first floor and had great views of the volcano. It is very very clean!!!”
