We had a great 2 night stay here with our dog and were made to feel really welcome by the owners and their dog! Great rooms which are quite large with a nice courtyard outside area. The bar/restaurant is lovely with great food and we ate here both nights. Nice local people mixing with the guests! The Plough is situated...

Visiting Suffolk with my aunty and stayed overnight at the Plough. We were greeted by barman Gabriel who couldn't have done a better job at making us feel welcome and is a credit to Adnams. He really was top class as were all staff. Rooms were very big, cosy, clean and comfortable. Pub was lovely, we spent the evening by...

We stayed at the Plough for my wife's birthday which made a wonderful evening. The recently refurbished bar/restaurant was modern with a tradition twist, loved the old pictures of the pub especially the one of the elephant from the travelling circus! Food was excellent, good size portions, tasty and well presented, breakfast the same. Room was stylish and comfortable with...

Excellent roast beef lunch. Piping hot, generous portions and well cooked. Staff charming and very helpful even though they were short handed. Prices seem fair for this part of coast. Small main menu but augmented by daily specials. Would recommend.

Went out for a meal but found our destination was closed due to a power cut (Day after Storm Doris) so we meandered across country to the Plough at Wangford. Arrived a little early but our food order was taken by very polite staff. The cod, chips and mushy peas arrived on the dot of 1800 and was well worth...

Popped in for Sunday lunch with my daughter. Never been before and hadn't booked - Arriving at 1230 it was a bit quiet compared to other pubs / restaurants in the area. On going inside it's bright and airy with tables around the bar and a separate more 'formal' dining room. We were allowed to sit where we wanted though...

We had a twin room which was adapted for disabled use although we didn't need that. The room was enormous because of that though. Comfy beds and nice bedding. Excellent range of in room tea coffees and snacks and provision of shower gels in bathroom. Nice restaurant and friendly efficient host and staff. Lovely evening meal and great breakfast. Friendly...

Arrived slightly too late for food (served 12pm - 2pm and 6pm - 9pm) but had a lovely pint of Ghost Ship and Southwold. We were looking forward to eating and menu looked delicious so it's on the list of places to return to. Met the friendly owner and his beautiful French bull mastiff. Will return when it's a bit...
