Had 2 nights here. The hotel was just located off the main square and very well presented. The rooms had high ceilings and liked onto the central courtyard. Everything was always being cleaned and is a really lovely colonial hotel. The staff could have been a bit more attentive would be my only comment.

Well, I never got to stay in this hotel but given the behavior of its management it must be a disaster. About a week before my scheduled trip on high touristic season, when is almost impossible to book a room iVilla de Leyva, I got an e-mail from the hotel cancelling the three rooms I had reserved 3 the months...

Nice property. Probably not the best deal in town, but the hotel is rambling and well-kept, with a wonderful library (a hotel with a library?) and pool and spa and such. If you go out after 10pm it may take a while to roust the night clerk. (I woke up half the street before he showed up.)

The hotel setting is quite nice, a pretty inner courtyard, flowers, and on a fairly busy street with many small shops (not what it looks like in their photo.) that leads to the main square. It was easy to get to any location in the town. That said, we didn't feel that the price reflected well the value. The rooms...

All in the group speak spanish, so I dont know about language issues. I like the hotel for the cute and small environment, and also the sweet people there. There is not too much hotel personnel but we did not ask for anything anyway. The breakfast was included, but I would prefer some local breakfast, not "american" breakfast (it supposed...

We booked in after a long windy bus trip from bogota. The staff spoke nearly no English but we were able to get by on our Spanish, we stayed in a jnr suite with jacuzzi and lucky for the jacuzzi because we had to use it over the shower twice as there was no hot water on two occasions. Not...

The hotel is perfectly located in the best street of the town, the entrance is nice and, yes, there is hot coffee available all day. But apparently the hot water is only for the coffee, we did not get hot water in our rooms (second floor balcony). At the reception, they always said they were working on it, making the...
