We found this by mistake after turning down the wrong lane. What a find! The standard of service and cleanliness was 5 star. We joked that when we went for the great breakfasts, the cleaning ninjas would have the room done when we got back. This is one of the few places I have felt totally relaxed, especially in these times. So tranquil and peaceful. Liz and her staff were so nice from the moment we arrived until we left. This is one place that I'm glad we found, and will go back to repeatedly. I've seen people comment that it's expensive, you stay knowing the cost up front first of all and secondly its worth it in MHO.
We recently had a fabulous stay at Bervie. Beautiful location, magnificent hosts and excellent food. Located on the seafront there are breathtaking views. From the booking process through to departure the level of customer care and attention to detail was impressive. A very high standard of food with a great range of choices for dinner with a good wine selection. Excellent breakfast. We will definitely return in the near future.
Probably one of the best restaurants in Ireland - a real gem with marvellous food, staff, ambience and very reasonable prices. One to visit before it gets its Michelin star. Much in demand so book early to avoid disappointment.
This was a very restful, relaxing stay with great views overlooking over to the the Minuan Cliffs at the eastern end of the extensive Keel strand with its golden strand. The room was quiet, very good food and proximity to the sea. So relaxing to sit in the garden out back with a drink or two.
My wife and I had a fabulous dinner at The Bervie , Keel, Achill Island on Wed the 9th Sept. We were greeted by Elizabeth, the owner, and shown to a beautifully furnished sitting room where we enjoyed a pre dinner drink. I had a delicious crab salad for starter followed by a trio of perfectly cooked John Dory, Turbot and Monkfish for my main course. My wife’s chicken was served with the tastiest chasseur sauce. For desert my wife had a warm baked chocolate mousse cake with a sour cherry compote and a pistachio ice cream and I had an orange and cardamon brûlée with frozen vanilla yogurt Both were to die for. We finished off a wonderful night with a digestif on the front lawn overlooking the majestic Keel Bay where Elizabeth had placed beautifully scented candles. You should go there. You will love it. Look up their menus on line Cathal…
