We stayed here midweek. The hosts are really on the ball with hygiene in terms of Covid, which was brilliant to see. The location of the place is fabulous and the decor is unique. My one small gripe with the bedroom was that the TV was not visible from the bed, but this is more a personal issue with me. The bed was luxurious and we had a wonderful sleep. The in-room coffee was excellent for instant coffee and the Lindor chocolate was great! Breakfast was a hit and miss. The granola/muesli was, quite literally, the best I have ever tasted and the scones were fabulous, as was the juice. But the cooked breakfast (eggs benedict) was, unfortunately, a let-down. The sauce was minimal but the water appeared not to have been drained properly from the eggs and made the scone very very soggy. Overall though, a great spot :)…

The two hosts Jon and Alex were so welcoming, we were invited in while maintaining social distancing. Everything was explained upon arrival. Our room was absolutely beautiful, all their rooms have themes with each of their own customised furniture to fit the theme. The breakfast was AMAZING. In the rooms there's free tea, coffee, water, chocolates and nothing was too much to ask from them. We borrowed some DVDs to watch at night in our room, they have a good selection. Location was perfect and it is wheelchair accessible. There's also free parking on site. There's also three beautiful dogs to greet you!!! Absolutely beautiful place, the best service I have ever received, thank you so much Jon and Alex. Dualtha and I will be back!!

We stayed here on our 2 week staycation and the hosts were great with covid, I felt very safe staying here. The location is perfect and the room was very large With views over keel bay and the mountain. I am a coeliac and the breakfast was the best I’ve ever had! Freshly made bread and pancakes, would highly recommend staying here.

Just had a wonderful nights stay at the Ferndale with my work colleagues from Clare Island Lighthouse. Fab rooms, great food and huge welcome. If you are looking for something great and different on Achill Island, look no further, Ferndale is it ! Oops ! Forgot to mention - best beds ever !

We loved everything about this gorgeous B&B. The hosts are rightly proud of what they have created. Their rooms are all stunning and uniquely different. We chose the Laguna Venetia suite which provided some Italian style fit for Versace! The room looked over the stunning Keel beach and surrounding mountains. The breakfast prepared by Alex was exceptional. Home baked bread, pancakes and loads of freshly prepared (and plentiful) hot and cold breakfasts. The breakfast was also a gluten and dairy free heaven with no comprises made!! The hosts, John and Alex, were extremely helpful, friendly and went out of their way to make the stay perfect. Also, their care during Covid 19 was first rate and took every precaution which is very reassuring. Would highly recommend Ferndale to anyone looking for a bit of affordable luxury and a B&B with a difference.…
