I sit writing my review in the departure lounge of Samui airport feeling very sad.... This was a 2 week trip to celebrate a big birthday and we could not be happier with our choice. The hotel is located at the north of Chaweng Beach. Close enough to the centre of Chaweng to experience the vibrant nightlife and choice of amazing bars and restaurants, but far enough out for it to be quiet during both day and night. We stayed in first floor garden view rooms that were cleaned daily and smelt beautiful thanks to the oil burner that the maid lit after cleaning. Aircon perfect and can be adjusted by the remote next to the unit. We chose to eat lunch at the hotel most days which was delicious and fairly priced. A good selection of Thai, seafood, western and Italian dishes. The hotel is right on the beach so at night time you can walk back from Chaweng Beach road via the sand. (Don't get caught out by the tide though!) Pool and beach areas have plenty of loungers and towels can be picked up from the bar. The staff everywhere work tirelessly through all hours keeping the resort spotlessly clean, and the team in the bar area are exceptional. Special thanks to Nit, Ja, Mad, Wit and Ying for making our stay so special. Sorry if I haven't got the rest of your names, but you are all amazing. We booked an island tour excursion and a trip to the Elephant Jungle rescue sanctuary via the tour desk in reception which were great value with knowledgeable guides. We have already decided we will be coming back...

We had a wonderful two week stay in one of the 3rd floor rooms with a very large patio and outdoor jacuzzi. You also get up to 30 pieces of laundry included daily. Highly recommend upgrading to that level to fully enjoy your stay.

The beach front is quite small, but there’s plenty of room for everyone as well as lots of chairs by the pool. We were able to get the chairs we wanted almost every day without having to drop towels on them at ungodly hours of the morning.

Breakfast is included and served from 6:30 to 10:30 and offers a wide variety of Thai,
European and North American options, include a waffle, crepe and egg station. The cook was efficient and attentive and brought the eggs right to our table several times.

Sa and the other waitstaff worked tirelessly delivering coffees (including iced lattes) in the morning and drinks and dinner long into the night. Mr. Tom and the front desk staff responded efficiently to any requests related to the rooms.

The hotel grounds are very well tended and it is centrally located near the main strip, but just far enough to be unaffected by the noise and hustle on the street.

We loved our 6 days at the Muang Samui Spa Resort. We were due to stay in a secluded all-inclusive resort that I had booked many months ago on sale, but swapped the hotel when reviews of the other resort were not great. I am so glad we chose the Muang Samui Spa Resort. We were only on B+B but this worked out perfectly.

The hotel is stunning and exactly like the photos online. We were in a ground floor room right next to the reception, but this meant only took a few steps to get back to the room every time we forget something when going out 😊. Despite being so close to the reception and main road it was peaceful and still felt secluded – even on the terrace. The beach was also literally less than 1 minute walk from the room and away from the pool so much more private. If you have kids then a poolside room would probably be better.

The rooms are stunning and well laid out with an amazingly comfortable bed, aircon which cooled the room rapidly and quiet, a hot powerful shower in a huge bathroom, with room for the suitcases so the bedroom could be left clean. We got 2 x 500ml bottles of water everyday – even if we didn’t finish them.

The hotel is situated perfectly – it is 5-10mins to the main noisy part of the strip and 15 mins to the night market. This means it is close to the action while being far enough away to feel secluded. The beach is stunning with a good collection of loungers and beach chairs. Despite the hotel being pretty full it never felt crowded though 1 afternoon we had to wait a while for a free lounger – no big issue as the sand is so soft.

The beach bar prices are amazing considering it is a 5-star hotel. They are as cheap as most bars on the strip and the food was so good. We had lunch and dinner there and the Thai food better than a couple of highly rated restaurants on the strip. Yes it was not Thai spicy but had good fresh flavours.

Breakfast has everything you could want. Fruit fridge, fresh egg station, make your own waffle mix, cold meats and chesses, pastries, hot Asian food, cereals and more.
All the staff were friendly and helpful.

The Rai Ra Spa was amazing, 100% recommended and I have left a google review on this. Please book a package with them. The steam, scrub, massage and facial is an experience not to miss with the sound of the waves.

The tour agent in the reception was so helpful with no sales push. We had a great day out exploring the island.

If you want to splurge a bit as a solo traveler pls stay at Muang Samui it’s in the best part of the island chaweng street lots of shops and restaurants, step out of the resort and it’s all there.

The rooms are traditionally Thai style rooms dark woods and not much light so if this is your thing you will like it! The room cleaning is good everyday when I returned after my excursions I was amazed to see how super clean the room would be

Breakfast is ok not so many varieties but enough to get your tummy smiling😃

The beach on this side of the island isn’t all that wow but it’s ok they have a swimming pool as well.

They can arrange a trip to their other property Royal Muang, the beach over there is way better however the location of the resort is far from shops much more quieter area so I suggest you do a day trip to there.

The reception at Muang Samui arranged for me to go to the spa at Royal Muang, the spa is built inside a cave it was an amazing experience, Nee the spa manager was so kind an welcoming I really enjoyed my time there. The Therapist That has super firm hands one of the best massages I had

To book your excursions be careful, some places will just rip you off as you are a tourist🤷‍♀️ pls book at the place to the right side as you come out from the main reception the lady over there is super helpful and will make sure she books you with a good company. If you have dirty laundry to be washed she will even help with that at a good price 😀

Overall it was a good stay staff were all kind an helpful

We were in this great resort in mid-August. It is located quite centrally in Chaweng, and the complex itself is quiet. We particularly liked the beautiful, overgrown jungle area, the gardeners do a really good job here. The friendliness of the staff was also impressive, we especially remember Mr Tao from reception and the attentive lady from the seafood restaurant (highly recommended). The food was always very, very good, the selection was large and everything was fresh and delicious.
The large rooms are really something special, you can relax well here. We had a whirlpool bath with a view of the garden, which was great :) The minibar was always well stocked and inexpensive.
The pool is relatively large, it blends in wonderfully with the small jungle. We really liked the waterfall and the whirlpool area.
The complex has a beautiful beach and a beach bar where you can get both food and cocktails. You can also eat there in the evening, with your feet in the sand, super romantic.
In short, we were thrilled with Muang Samui and can only warmly recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Muang Samui Resort. We stayed for one week at that beautigul place and we clearly wished to stay longer. The rooms are very big, comfortable, clean and nicely designed in a Thai style and every room has a private balcony or terasse with a wonderful view into the tropical garden or to the pool/beach. It's a calm place to stay in a very touristic town. The whole place is very neat and the staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed ther in the pre season so it was not too crowded at the restaurant/bar/beach. The ocean is at this location more like a lagune since there is a island in front, but that makes the water very warm and calm with no waves. Breakfast and Dinner was good but not very special. Very delicious was the food in the Samui Restaurant that also belongs to the hotel and is located right in front of the hotel. We can highly recommend this place and we have nothing to critisise. :-)

First we would like to make a shout out to the great staff who were always friendly and helpful. The hotel in itself is at a stunning beach, however the water is extremely shallow. If you are a lover of swimming in the sea, which we are, this is a big dissapointment as swimming is not possible. A kilometer down the beach it gets significantly better as the reef does not break the water there. The pool is excellent though in lush greenery setting. Location of the hotel to get into Chaweng center is perfect, 2 min walk. Rooms are spacious but very outdated and worn out, this really needs an upgrade. Window could not completely close and had to put stickers on the chinks to avoid bugs coming in at night. Outside on the facility like staircases etc were often not clean and gave a shabby look, also the wooden floor at the (great) pool bar needs to be replaced in full, it is completely worn out and dangerous with a lot of holes in it. We really do not understand why other people review the breakfast as great, for a hotel presenting themselves as a 5 star hotel it is really poor and incomparable with other 5 star breakfasts we experienced. Food is limited in choice, not well presented and tasteless. With the rate charged for our stay, we did not receive great value for money. We did enjoy our stay though, but this is not a 5 star hotel.

I was there in 2010 and 14 years later it was fantastic to find the same magic and unique atmosphere of Muang Samui
The moment you walk inside this beautiful resort you find yourself surrounded by a green paradise of exotic vegetation and small water canals gently descending towards the beach and the pool, in a very quite and peaceful environment, the sand shore area is small but very well equipped and clean.
The suites are spacious and very clean, the scent inside is unforgettable and gives you a real taste of Thailand.
Breakfast was very good with a large choice of food and drinks, the bar and restaurant selection was excellent and well presented.
All the resort is perfectly mantained and spotless clean at all times.
I have no words to describe the kindness of the staff, all very professional and ready to walk the extra mile to anticipate guests needs, true stars.
The location is perfect with Chaweng city centre only a few steps away.
Internet connection can be improved.
Overall a great stay and a fantastic vacation, thank you, I'll be back soon

Our expectations were more than fulfilled. Starting with the friendliness of the staff, the breakfast and the room with a pool view. The beach was cleaned daily and there were always sunbeds available. The complex itself is very quiet even though it is on the main street. Restaurants and bars can be reached in just a few minutes.

Arrived at hotel and was greeted by Jack who checked us in and got the hotels app downloaded onto my phone. This enabled us to contact the hotel via the shop from wherever we were, to organise extra water, yes coffee etc. proved quite useful.
Was shown to room and it was beautifully decorated for my birthday, nice touch, thank you
Room had a coffee maker, but no kettle! Thankfully we had our own with us.
Room was large and clean but could do with a bit of a spruce up in some areas. Plugs by side of bed are behind and below the bedside cabinet, making them unusable, these need to higher imo. No central switch to switch the myriad off lights off!
The pool was lovely but not enough loungers available round it.
We booked this hotel primarily because it had mattresses on the pool and beach loungers - there were none to be seen for the whole week we were there until the day before we were leaving they got some out for the visitors from their sister hotel! Not impressed. We did mention this to reception in arrival day to no avail!
Access to the beach can be a bit challenging if you have mobility issues as there aren't any man made steps per se. It's a natural hotel.
Staff were very good and efficient in the restaurant for all meals and drinks service to the beach and prices were reasonable.
Food in the restaurant of an evening was tasty and reasonably priced considering it's a hotel.
Breakfast was reasonable and adequate, it suited our needs.
Did we enjoy our stay, yes, would we stay again, for location yes

The water in the lagoon is very shallow. My daughter and I walked a crossed it and was ankle deep to waist deep. A kayak may get stuck in some of the seaweed. Just a thought.

Hi There all the rooms have seating outside, second floor where we were was great with a balcony just of the bedroom .The beach and pool are only a short walk, if you are a swimmer like myself turn right when you get to the beach walk down about 300metres and you can swim better there, also you can feed the fish. Enjoy your holiday Dave and lizzie.
