Centara Reserve Samui is a perfect place for family vacation, my family and I have spent total three nights there. Both my parents and my daughter enjoyed their stay. Yes.
They have direct access to the nicest beach in Koh Samui, very clean and safe for children.
Foods are nice. Lots of variety for breakfast and they offered kids meal. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant- the salt society which offered great sea view, tasty food and they also have kids menu.
The hotel has a very friendly and responsive staff team. My young baby loves to say hi and wave bye bye to all the staffs she met. Nice vibes!
The general manager Neil is very professional and thoughtful. When we arrived, the rooms have been well prepared with baby cot and even milk bottle steriliser, milk bottler warmer present in the room already. That greatly offered convenience to our family.
Location wise, it’s only less than 15 mins drive from airport, also within walking distance to shopping mall, food market, restaurants, store and tour agency. But no noise at all.

I've travelled to Thailand a number of times and this is easily the best resort I have stayed in. Whilst the rooms are on the smaller side (by Thai resort standards) the resort itself is huge and well designed. The balcony was great to sit, relax and look at the ocean. The two pools are great - I mostly used the adults only pool. Service at that pool by Q was simply outstanding (thank you for delivering my daily cocktails). The resort is on the beach and this section of the beach was perfect - the water was so clear you can see to the bottom, generally calm, and deep enough to properly swim. The breakfast was very impressive and spans 4 rooms - they have everything you could possibly want. Outside of the hotel turning left or right you have numerous restaurants, massage places, and tourist shops within a few minutes walk. There is also a 7-11 a few minutes away, very convenient. My package included complimentary 60-minute massages at the attached Spa, which was beautiful (thanks Yellee for a great massage). The hotel also has an app so if you need anything or have any questions you can do it via the app. All of the staff are simply excellent. Finally thank you to B-Mild who made check in easy and efficient. Overall, a wonderful resort - highly recommended.

This hotel was exceptional. I literally loved the service, the friendly staff, the food. Everything!
When we arrived we were greeted with a face towel and cool drink whilst we checked in. Now our daughter was also with us at the check in but not staying at Centara. The lovely staff included her knowing she wasn’t staying there. They gave her a welcome drink and towel and included her in the make a wish in the water feature in the foyer. It was so sweet of them and I could tell this was the right choice of hotel.
Our room was just a standard room but it was lovely. The free mini bar was always restocked everyday with sodas, juice, snacks, beers, and spirits.
Breakfast was amazing. So much choice. You could pick your own items from the buffet or order from the a la carte menu at no extra cost. Fabulous. The eggs Benedict were wonderful and always cooked perfectly.
Service around the pools were outstanding. Whenever the pool attendants saw us making our way to the pool they would get the pool towels ready and pour us ice cold water. What service.
Another highlight was ‘Surprise of the day’ where you dial the special button and 10 minutes later a smiling employee will bring you a sweet or savoury treat.
We ate at Salt Society a few times and the good was fab. It was obviously more expensive than street food or restaurants outside of the hotel but it was lovely and no more than a decent meal back in the uk.
We 100% are coming back to Centara Reserve. It really deserves all the great reviews it gets. Without doubt the very best hotel I’ve stayed in! Thank you for everything

After a busy year we were eagerly awaiting what we expected to be a beautiful stay in a luxurious hotel. The reality of Centara was nothing like the expectations created on the website. The foyer carpets were tatty and dirty, not a great start even if the staff were lovely and welcoming. We booked a reserve ocean suite and on arrival found a disgusting shower suite in both bathrooms + worn and scuffed paint on the walls. I have stayed in better presented budget hotels. Given the torrential rain (clearly not the hotels fault) the hotel was filled up with dirty towels to stop flooding - and these seemed to hang around all day. Breakfast coffee was cold and even though the the buffet had a good selection, food ordered from the menu arrived cold. We were so disappointed we arranged to check out the day after we arrived. I am thankful to the staff who did not make this process difficult and who organised our refund which arrived in the promised timeframes. Think carefully if you are particular about your ' 5 star' options - first world problem of course but the price asked definitely didn't match what was offered on arrival. My advice - maintenance, maintenance and more maintenance. The attached pictures should speak for themselves (and this was after the 'special' clean).

Unfortunately our experience at this hotel was not 5 star , very disappointed and here is why
Arrival - we booked through LE which included an airport transfer, it was late by around 15-20 minutes, sat in the heat trying to call hotel when it eventually arrived . Was met at front entrance by a doors man who was on phone and ignored us completely whilst taking luggage out of car - not a good start definitely not a 5 star experience , the friendliest door man was by far William very friendly
Reception staff - wonderful and informative - appreciate the room tour
Room - too small , no storage for cases and an open air bathroom again no storage and with no privacy , one positive shower was lovely with an excellent shower head . Room not cleaned properly on arrival , we didn’t complain but again questioned the 5 star rating . Each day there was something missing from housekeeping water not refilled, dirty bath mat not refreshed , bath towels not replenished , hand towels another day not replenished , one set of shampoo and conditioner completely empty , room not made up till late afternoon , turn down done once out of 7 day stay ? Spoke with manager on duty not sure his name and he did nothing to make our experience better so again huge fail
Pool - agree with other reviews the pool bar has way too many kids and would be better suited to be an adults only area , was not enjoyable at all to have a drink here , staff at bar friendly , cocktails awful not sure if it was because we were on a LE package but every one we ordered we did not drink truly awful , I ordered a pina colada one day and it came with no ice and tasted nothing like the cocktail should it was shocking for a 5 star resort .
Adult pool - lovely pool and very peaceful , some staff better than others Tom Cruises lovely , friendly guy and constantly filling your glass , the other staff member who was there for most of our stay called Q was not so nice , zero customer service skills at all needs more training or a job outside of dealing with customers directly , he was good at filling your water but don’t dare expect any sort of welcome you will not get one
Breakfast - lovely helpful and attentive staff , at times run off there feet , food selection was just ok lots of flies around fruit and cheese and I’ve had much better selection in the past to be honest

The Centara Reserve is an extraordinary TOP hotel! We have known the hotel for about 20 years, the renovation has been more than successful! The hotel is a dream come true! It is true that there is not a lot of storage space, but even with three people and our daughter, we had no problems with space. If you have one, you just have to take a bigger room, which the hotel offers, everyone knows in advance how big the room is, but even for the three of us it was perfect! The breakfast is the real highlight of this hotel, it is simply outstanding. I am not a big breakfast hero and it can happen that I skip breakfast in other hotels, but definitely not here! The breakfast is of the highest standard in terms of both selection and quality. The location on Chaweng is outstanding, probably the most beautiful part of the beach on Chaweng, a super well-maintained pool area and enough sun loungers, there were no sun lounger reservations during our stay, there was always something available. We had a room with pool access, just perfect! The hotel does absolutely nothing wrong here.
However, we are not staying at this hotel this year, which is actually our favorite hotel on Samui.
We wanted a room with pool access again this year and wanted to book directly through Centara, but we felt very ripped off.
Booking is advertised on their own website with the best rates available, but that wasn't the case.
The offer in August was well over 400 euros per night, which was already quite expensive.
But that wasn't enough, the hotel wanted an extra 80 euros per night for an extra bed, which was free last year!
Unfortunately, since the renovation, it seems that no longer any value is placed on regular guests... we stayed in this hotel more than 20 times before the renovation - but nobody here cares!
The price quoted directly by the hotel prompted us to book other hotels, because there really is no point in being ripped off.
If you book the hotel and can accept the pricing, you can't go wrong with this hotel, the hotel is great!
You know in advance what you are paying and can accept it or not, we have decided not to put up with these crazy price increases any more.
If there is anything to criticize the hotel for, it is primarily the way it treats regular guests, which is awful - at least after this renovation.
But otherwise there is really nothing to complain about, everyone has to decide for themselves whether the prices quoted are reasonable.

The hotel was completely renovated a few years ago and is really nicely furnished and well equipped, but the hotel lacks two very important aspects that simply have to be right for a 5* hotel: Cleanliness and location of the hotel: Unfortunately, cleanliness is not right in many areas, from the room (dirty coffee cups from the previous occupant, calcified bathroom fittings, uncleaned scales) to the pool area (dirty towels) and the gym (floor not mopped during our 5-day stay).
Location: Important for anyone looking for peace and quiet, this hotel is wrong. It is right next to a beach club that plays loud disco music until late at night, our room was right next door, so we could only sleep with difficulty and earplugs. When we pointed this out, reception explained that unfortunately they cannot change anything about the club, after several back and forths we were offered a dark room on the ground floor as an alternative, which we did not want either.
Overall, it must be said that the service at this hotel is significantly different (in a negative way) than all the other hotels we have visited in Asia and Thailand. It's a shame, because the facility itself and the food are good (the Thai restaurant in particular was very good with nice service, although quite expensive). Our impression is that the hotel lives off package holiday tourists, which also explains why the upscale restaurants were always empty in the evenings (we actually sat there alone).

Our stay at Centara Reserve Koh Samui was a flawless blend of luxury, relaxation, and world-class service. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like VIPs—greeted with cool towels, refreshing welcome drinks, delicious chocolates and warm, genuine smiles from the staff.
Our suite was pure paradise: beautifully designed, and boasting stunning views of the ocean. Every detail was perfect, from the comfortable bedding (amazing feather pillows) to the surprise of the day and personalised notes that made us feel so special.
The dining experience was exceptional. Every meal was delicious whether at the pool or the exceptional choices of dining rooms, the food was fresh, creative, and bursting with flavour. Breakfast was a wide variety of delicious foods and the omelette cooked by Chef Bird was the best I’ve ever eaten and definitely one of the highlight’s of our stay. The dining staff were always genuinely friendly especially Pui, Anne, Plapla, Olivia and Kik. A big thanks to Ice from Front Desk who had banana and ice waiting every morning after a gym session from the modern sensational gym.
The beach is a dream come true—pristine white sand, clear turquoise waters, and impeccable service from the pool staff especially Paul and Smoothie, Whether lounging or swimming in the pool we were always taken care of.
The entire resort is a tropical oasis, with lush, beautifully landscaped grounds that made every corner feel like a hidden paradise. The attention to detail was impeccable, and the staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect.

A great hotel with excellent facilities. The staff are very well trained and nothing is to much trouble. The rooms are maintained to a very high standard and the restaurants offers varied menus to suit all tastes. The grounds are kept in pristine condition and the ocean view rooms look out over a fantastic soft sandy beach. Everything about the hotel was impeccable and the General Manager, Mr Neil Li is to be congratulated for making himself available to the guests throughout the day ensuring happy smiles all round. Mr Neil Li made our stay extra special and a more friendly and careing General manager woud be hard to find. He and his team are to be congratulated and would rate this hotel as six stars. You will not be disappointed. Would I stay at the Centara Reserve again, most definitely.

We had a pool access room one time but to be honest I really can't remember /
We moved due to a large number of people from one country that were incredibly noisy and letting kids run wild
The hotel were excellent, they fully understood the problem and immediately moved us rooms into a unit with a private plunge pool
There are more places to choose from in the Chaweng area.
