Spent a week here in early January. We were thoroughly delighted with almost every aspect of our stay. We were met at the airport by a hotel car/driver and quickly whistked away. Within 20 minutes we were at the hotel and greeted by the very friendly staff. After a quick and efficient check-in, were were escorted through the beautiful grounds...

I regretfully only booked a few days at Poppies before heading to Kamalaya but I would definitely return and perhaps this time for a little longer. Sometimes Trip Advisor can give a great impression of somewhere and the reality doesn't live up to it but here it most certainly has lived up to the hype. The bungalows are lovely and...

I stayed in this hotel in December for a week with my mother and I have to say that it is on a different league from other hotels in Chaweng. The rooms are super nice and clean. The garden area is beautiful. The breakfast was really tasty and they allowed us to eat late, I think it was until 11...

Stayed at Poppies Dec. 29 to Jan. 6, 2014. Our first night was horrible. Jet lagged and tired we were assigned a cottage next to a hotel/club that played music until 2:30 am. No other rooms available until the next day. No view of a beach or ocean. We were not happy. The next day we were moved from 117...

This hotel has everything a discerning traveler would look for on holidays. The rooms are well appointed, spacious and maintained to very high standards. The bathroom is nice, large with natural light. The rooms are set amidst tranquil gardens and water features , helping one to completely switch off from the madness on the streets. Beach access is perfect and...

We visited Samui around the same time two years ago and stayed at the newly opened Conrad Hotel. This time, we opted for something more relaxed, centrally located, with local flair. Having just completed a week at Poppies, we couldn't have enjoyed it more. If you want to be in Chaweng, this is the place. Inside the resort is a...

I have just returned from spending a week at Poppies with three dear friends and I can say with all honesty that the holiday was faultless. From the greeting on arrival to the farewell, the entire experience was memorable. The friendliness of the staff, the attention to every detail and the outstanding food served at the hotel, made for a...

Poppies really knows how to look after their guests. We stayed for 5nights just before Xmas 2013 and had a really lovely time. The beautiful garden setting and the cute little cottages are the perfect escape from the sometimes crazy chaweng. As others have already mentioned it was the little touches that made poppies so great. The lovely caring staff...

We have stayed at this hotel many times and keep going back as it never crosses our minds to try any of the other hotels in the area as this one is so good. This one is right on the beach which is kept very clean by the beach boys. The rooms are cottages which are quite spacious with a...

We stayed for 2 weeks in May 2013 and wanted a boutique hotel with no breakfast buffets. We loved it. Set in a lush green shady garden, the few cottages are just meters from the beach. Just small things, long breakfast hours, while having breakfast your beachbed is made ready, daily fresh fruit, just lovely service from everyone and a...
