We stayed in a superior sea view room for our honeymoon and it was great. The only thing lacking was that there wasn’t a fan/ceiling fan in the room. It was <50 steps from our room to the beach and you could hear the sound of the waves at night. Special shout-out to Nong (at the frontdesk) for being so helpful in solving our issues an helping us to get a good deal on the Songthaew to our next destination. Sukanya (reservation) was also very attentive and prompt in answering all my questions about the booking and arranging for the pick up. The staff also arranged a floral/towel set up on the bed as a “Welcome” present. The wifi was a bit spotty in our room so the connection kept dropping on/off, but we had our own data plan so it didn’t bother us. The beach was nice and easy to snorkel. There were tons of beach chairs too. They play almost the same playlist at the beach so if you get tired of it, just bring your own headphones and tune out. The restaurant is quite expensive but if you’re thirsty they have a few hours of Happy Hour. If you have a motorbike or able to walk up a slope, we highly recommend Nelys which is about 8-10mins walk away for good food! For laundry the hotel charges per piece but fret not, right across the road you can get it done per kilogram. There is also a 7-11 about 15mins away but do note that you have to walk up a slope on a very busy street. There is a gym on site but the equipment is very minimal, might be time for a refresh! Overall, a quiet and chill place to stay away from the hustle and bustle.

Sue from Isle of Man. Read a lot of negative reviews on this site and was worried what we would get. Yes the rooms are outdated but comfortable and clean. The resort was lovely directly onto the beach. Staff were very friendly and accommodating with extra beach towels and water etc. the whole place was lovely. Breakfast was great with large choice from fruit to cooked breakfast. We ate dinner in a few nights and the food was yummy and cheap. We had the app GRAB to book taxis and this was very useful as the hotel is away from the main nightlife and restaurants and was very reasonable fares. The beach was stunning but occasionally rough so you would need to be a confident swimmer but I guess it would depend on the weather. We had only two calm sea days. All in all it was great. You get what you pay for and in our case it was £400 per person for two weeks. I miss it xxx

We stayed at this resort for the second week of our honeymoon. The resort is located 10 minutes from the center, easily reachable by taxi or scooter. It is the last of a long beach, so there is privacy and tranquility! We requested a private dinner on the beach and a very romantic location was set up with candles and a private chef who served us an excellent Thai dinner, presenting dishes for dish. The staff is extremely kind.

I have been extremely fortunate to spend two weeks at this truly beautiful and first class hotel Everything was simply perfect an extremely comfortable and punctual limo transfer from the airport to the hotel where I was greeted and checked in to my beachside room by the extremely charming Nang who spoke perfect English and helped me with all my needs including renting a fantastic e bike for my stay .my room was spotless with a grand supply of toiletries and four big fluffy beach towels ,a well stocked minibar with plenty of reasonably priced snacks .Breakfast in the terrace was available from 7 with a magnificent selection of Thai and western dishes with fresh juices and excellent freshly brewed coffee. In the evening I dined at the hotels fine restaurant where Chef Mas prepared me fresh fish and typical Thai dishes every evening . During my stay I was invited to dine at both the luxury Conrad and Sheraton hotels which whilst good were no where near as well prepared as Chef Mas’s signature dishes and more than twice the price ! Thank you to all the Impiana staff who made my stay so enjoyable I really can heartily recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a wonderful location with first class staff to look after your every need .

The staff at Impiana are so welcoming to have their visitor back to Samui. Chi and Mint and behind the beach bar and are great to sit and chat to over a cocktail. Saow and Jub are just as attentive in the restaurant. Ok it's not all fully open yet but Samui is still recovering from the pandemic and as you'll see many places didn't survive at all. Nong on reception can't do enough to help you and recommend trips for you and sort the good from the, well not so good. If you wish to snorkel go to the right were you see the rocks in the water. Here is a vast coral reef and various fish etc. If you just go out in to the open water all you'll see is sand. Breakfast is bacon, eggs cooked to order various ways, toast, chicken sausages, yogurt and fresh fruit. The tea and coffee are lovely too. In Samui you must remember the price you see isn't what you pay. For example on the bar menu a Chang beer is 140 tbh but these prices exclude the 10% service charge and 7% tax. All drinks are added to your room bill so as you can imagine it would be easy to run up a fair old bill. The fisherman's village night market is excellent. It's on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Very good food cooked in front of you at low prices. The room could do with some TLC but with no cash flow for 2 years it can be forgiven but this will need addressing soon. You don't need any power adapters here, UK plugs fit straight in as do euro 2 pins also. The sand on the beach is soft and the sea is as warm as taking a bath. Oh and you won't need your cardigan! 😂

What can I say! This has truly been the worst hotel we have ever been to. Staff arrogant and rude apart from bar staff, on arriving, safe did not work, had to be fixed waited over an hour for someone to come, then had shower and shower would not switch off had to be repaired, again waited over an hour whilst the water continuously flowing. The man had to go and get another man to help! The .Bathroom grubby and looked dirty! Room not cleaned, had to ask them to clean room and to give us fresh towels! Location not the best had to have taxi into town every day for food as food in hotel not up too much! Charged for water in our room, we had heavy rain, this then caused balcony to flood and the guy had to use a water pump to drain it. There was water coming into our room leaving puddles everywhere. Leaks in the reception area coming through light sockets! Absolutely shocking - do not think about visiting this hotel!!

Lovely place to dine as the hotel is situated on the beach. Staff are great especially the bar staff. There are several moped rental places nearby (head for 7-11 & you'll find them).
The hotel has a shuttle service to Fishermans Village & will book taxis for you & give you an upfront price.
Lovely place & lovely staff

The hotel cheated us out of paying through booking.
Initially, we booked the hotel through Booking, then we corresponded with the hotel via email and duplicated it in correspondence with Booking in our booking. The hotel offered to pay for the stay in Russian rubles by transferring the individual to a Sberbank card. We paid for the accommodation in full. Then the hotel asked for a deposit of another 100% and wrote that it would be returned upon check-out from the hotel. Then they asked for insurance for another child, we refused to pay and wrote that we would resolve this issue upon arrival at the hotel, because... We have insurance for the child and the whole family. To which we were told that these are the conditions of the hotel and if we do not pay, then we do not need to come to the hotel and all the money will be returned to us. We arrived at the hotel, the hotel said that our payment did not exist and it did not go through booking; they did not know who corresponded with us at booking. They took money from us again for our accommodation and we already paid in cash for our accommodation. We contacted the booking support service and provided all documents and payment invoices. Booking resolves the issue, but so far there has been no movement. We paid for the hotel three times. There is no movement to return the money and the hotel is not addressing this issue in any way.

The hotel isn’t too far from the central of Chaweng but you need a cab or other mode of transport to get there as it’s too far to walk. It’s located on a hill just around a bend on a busy main road so it makes it challenging to cross the busy road and flag transport down to get into town. We paid extra for a sea view and were on the top floor. There are no lifts so don’t stay here if you arn’t very fit as there are different levels throughout the hotel. The beds are very hard, although the hotel did provide mattress toppers when we asked which made it slightly better. The aircon is very noisey and we requested to be moved after 1 night as all you could hear was the bikes & traffic at all hours on the main road. The hotel were accomodating and moved us the next day. We were on the ground floor which was quieter. The beach is long but either side of the hotel is wasteland with rubbish, the beach isn’t that clean. The beach beds etc need updating. They clean the rooms daily however forgot on a couple of occasions but cleaned when asked. Breakfast is ok with Thai & European choices 5/10. Overall, the hotel is old and needs updating. The staff were all lovely but the hotel needs to lift its standards. We would not stay here again.

I booked it for 4 nights through a travel app. The experience was less than satisfactory. I am writing a black and white review that will help other travellers. I booked the superior sea view + pool view room based on the photos and description provided by the Resort. Our Connecting flights got delayed and we reached at 11 pm after 24 hrs of travel time. There was ONLY 1 staff present, he was polite but that did not help when he gave us the wrong room type (cheaper one) and told us that the manager will arrive tomorrow office time and only she can resolve the issue. We decided to avoid argument and went straight to bed as we were dead tired. Next morning the manag arrived, heard us, gave us another room but again it was not what we booked - A SEA VIEW ROOM. Instead we were handed over a partial sea view room because as per the manager the room we booked was already occupied. This after we paid full in advance 2 months prior to our travel. The room was in okish condition and spoiled our mood. Shower was leaking all the time, The toilet seat had permanent big yellow stains. The bathroom was less than average anyways, no bathtub nothing.
Pros: Polite Management Staff Manager was helpful Beachside Property
Cons: Rude Restaurant Lady Staff No Veg / Vegan Breakfast Option Hardly any variety in Breakfast Old Property Slant Beach with powerful waves, Not Safe for Children. Secluded highway location Everything is a bit away No cleanliness due to limited staff Okish Pool away from the beach
Better book a hotel at Bo Phut, BangRak, Nathon, Lamai or Silver Beach. Also, avoid Chewang beach as it is not safe for children. The Plates in the photos was kept beside our room for full 3 days.

When I booked this hotel through agoda, I also sent a message to them asking whether there is any halal food or restaurant near the hotel. They replied to me saying Halal food is available at the resort.
Complimentary at fixed times, otherwise, as per the other answer, a small fee. But remember, out the front a songtau (tuk tuk) goes past almost every 5 minutes, and they cost virtually nothing, so don't worry about it.
There are more places to choose from in the Chaweng area.
