The Sheraton Samui Resort is lauded for its spacious and comfortable rooms, though some visitors feel they could use a modern touch. A testament to its cleanliness, the resort boasts well-kept facilities and spotless beaches, complemented by the crystal-clear swimming pools. While the hotel's service receives high marks for the staff's friendly and accommodating nature, guests should be mindful of potential amenity inconveniences. Despite the ample amenities, including beach access and breakfast offerings, some guests mention a lack of sunbeds. The location offers stunning vistas and a serene atmosphere but may present accessibility challenges and is somewhat remote from other services. While the ambiance is charming, opinions are mixed regarding its contemporary relevance. Additionally, dining at the resort is perceived as pricey, with some guests preferring local eateries for better value.

The resort is located on the beautiful Chaweng beach, a little far from the center of Samui (you need transport to go but it is not difficult to hail a taxi on the fly outside the hotel). Booking well in advance (February) we took a package with soft all inclusive (three meals a day with soft drinks included). We needed to rest and enjoy the sea, so the choice was the right one since the restaurant and bar are not very cheap. Furthermore, if you want to go on excursions, the all-inclusive option is a bit limiting. Our room was rightly spacious and comfortable with a balcony; the large bathroom with shower and bathtub. The obsessive cleaning also outside. The strange note, and I say this for those with mobility problems, is that the room was located in a maze of stairs and landings to go up and down without any lift. It was on the first floor, but to get there from the driveway, incredibly, you first had to go down two floors and then go up three; same thing, on the contrary, to go out. Stairs to go down to the sea and the restaurant, uphill to do for breakfast. There is an efficient electric shuttle service to call in case of need, which reaches all the sites (restaurant, beach, lobby etc..) but I repeat, if you have any mobility problems, please mention it when booking otherwise it could be really difficult. For this reason alone I don't give five stars. The breakfast was very varied, intercontinental; a good assortment of desserts. There is an espresso machine (authentic); used with excellent results: excellent espresso and cappuccino.
The well-organized equipped beach with bath towels included; fine sand and possibility of taking long walks; nice swimming pool not used by us. It's a shame for the presence of those who get up at dawn to take seats... if you don't arrive at midday there's room for everyone...
In the package we also had an hour of Thai massage every day, and I took advantage of it; praise to the staff for their hospitality and professionalism.

Just left this beautiful hotel.
We liked it, I'll tell you why.
Location: Chaweng noi, quiet, there are no people walking past you on the beach in droves or even through your hotel trying to get to the beach
Delicious, unforgettable breakfasts- several kinds of author drinks, every day special Thai style restaurant on the beach - all delicious, remembered plateau with appetizers sprin rolls with shrimp and tofu with kari
munky blue bar - a separate story, very delicious author cocktails Samui colling and appetizer grande nachos most
Beautiful, colonial-style lobby, lobby bar, and breakfast restaurant
Green, beautiful territory, in the shade of green, cool, waterfalls all the way until breakfast.
The beach is perfect, the staff on the beach will ALWAYS find you a sunbed (!) , all very prudent, the sunbed may not be occupied, dear compatriots
Cleanliness perfect, paths, toilets, beach
Room service is beautiful
Guys in electric cars will take you to breakfast and the beach if you want.
With kids - large relaxation area, eats master classes, play, meals-always feed
Yoga and stretching every day, led by recreation manager Samet, very attentive, as courteous as possible, mats, water, towel, all to you just think, all done.
I booked myself for stretching and yoga for all days, even though the schedule was only Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Fix the schedule, maybe more people would know and walk.
We left on 22.02.25, there was a change of who was evicting us, all as fast as possible, I didn't remember the name of the guy in the electric car, he was so good, came exactly as requested at 6am, picked up his luggage and waited for us foreseeably in the electric car, thank him very much.
There was still a moment, my friend got sick, and asked me to call her a cab, the hotel arranged a transfer to and from the hospital and didn't take any money.
Breakfast is also a very helpful team, we came at different times, and everything is always full of dishes

I will start negative points first.
Sheraton day pass is a joke especially on the beach as you don't have enough beach chairs and then you have these non-guest coming from outside and taking up chairs, drinking in the pool and shouting across the pool, while the hotel guests are trying to relax on the chairs. I'm not sure if Sheraton only cares about THB 500 per day for the day pass and not look after their own guest who have paid over AUD 5000 for out stays, you need to get your priority right here Sheraton.
There are no cushion on the chairs, even Impiana and New Staff have beach chair cushions on the beach chairs, how is Sheraton 5 stars???
Curtains in our rooms were ripped
Rooms needs renovating as they are really tired and run down, we had paint pealing off the walls in our room
Fridge in the room not working
Not much choice at breakfast when it comes to food
Need more restaurants for longer staying guest like ourselves
Need more staff in the restaurants and beach to assist guests
Need no smoking signs in both on the beach and in the Blue Monkey bar, as guest from outside smoking and disrupting the hotel guest. we have to ask the hotel staff to ask these people from outside to stop smoking,
We could smell cigarettes' smoke in out room, this is coming through our air-conditioning unit at night time when we were sleeping.
Our air conditioning wasn't working to had to get a technician to take a look and get it fixed.
The room cleaning was so in consistence, some days we get hand towels, some days we get face towels or some days we didn't get anything and only bath towels. The poor room staff were cleaning too many rooms and not enough time.
Sheraton doing a really poor job managing this resort and I hope the Thai owner is aware of this.
Now for the positive points
Really location
Friendly staff , especially the old staff who have been there for a long time.
Sunday brunch good idea
Good bathroom products
Great Spa
Beautiful gardens
recycling bins are a good idea
The bells on the beach to order food is a good idea.

You should do more beach brunch on the weekend and not just Sunday.

Sheraton Samui offers a generally pleasant stay with both highlights and areas for improvement. Its close proximity to the CBD makes it easy to reach amenities and explore the area. The staff are a standout feature—friendly and hardworking, ensuring guests feel welcome and supported. However, the hotel’s cliffside location means there are many stairs to navigate, which can be tiring. While golf carts are available around the clock to transport guests, it can still feel inconvenient.

The rooms meet Sheraton’s standards, offering a comfortable experience with solid amenities. My Pool and Seaview room was in a great location within the hotel, providing lovely views. The food is enjoyable but didn’t quite meet the level of other Sheraton properties, like those in the Gold Coast or the Middle East. Additionally, the air conditioning was quite noisy, and the property overall feels somewhat outdated. The shower, in particular, felt old and wasn’t as comfortable as I’d hoped.

A plus point is the easy access to central areas, though during the rainy season (October-November), the sound of nearby flooding can be quite loud. As a Sheraton member, I appreciated the small discount I received. I opted for a meal-inclusive package, which covered breakfast, lunch, and dinner, though I found the package a bit restrictive.

Overall, Sheraton Samui has its strengths, though it may be better suited for families rather than solo travelers.

May 2024. I spent 14 days on my vacation in the tropical Paradise of the Sheraton Hotel. The hotel is designed in a colonial style and the area is large. Hotel advantages: ideal beach (wide coastline, smooth sunset, clean white sand), 5+ service, ideal well-groomed area surrounded by greenery. It is important to note that the hotel is located on a mountain, several buildings are located closer to the sea. I was given a room in the main building - a gorgeous view. There is a little noise from the road, but on the 3rd night I stopped noticing it. If you need complete silence, you need to choose a room in buildings by the sea. In my opinion, this hotel is ideal for a secluded romantic getaway.
Many people write about the rooms being a little “tired”, this is true, but don’t forget - hotels in the tropics have survived the pandemic. Don't expect luxury hotels in Dubai, the atmosphere here is different. In my opinion, this has the atmosphere of an Agatha Christie Poirot film.
I would like to especially thank each of the hotel staff. Everyone was always ready to help and very friendly. Delicious breakfasts - for every taste, everything is always fresh.
In the afternoon there is an excellent lunch menu. If you're saving money, there are two delicious restaurants across the street. The rooms are spacious and very clean, there is everything you need from a hairdryer to an iron.
The hotel has two swimming pools, a restaurant on the beach, and a lobby bar where you can work under air conditioning.
An excellent option - a comfortable shuttle runs from the hotel to the Festival shopping center twice a day (10 minutes on the road). If you are tired of a relaxing holiday at the hotel, you can always take a ride to the store, for example, to buy fruit. The hotel also offers excursions and bike rentals. They will always call a taxi. Prices are not much different from prices outside the hotel.
I thank the hotel management and employees for the 5+ level of service.

Great hotel, great staff, great service. Breakfast is beyond praise. The area is beautiful and well maintained. The room was also okay, although the view from the window wasn’t great, but we didn’t bother with that. The beach is just a fairy tale. It was my birthday - we ordered dinner on the beach, they set a table for us with a canopy, such a choice of dishes - it was simply impossible to eat everything, it was awkward that they left half - people tried, but they simply didn’t have the strength to finish everything, everything was very tasty. There was a late flight, in the morning we paid an additional 2 thousand baht and calmly left for the airport at six in the evening in the hotel car. The most wonderful memories of the hotel!!! I'm already looking for tickets here for next year.

I stayed at Sheraton Samui from 19th-21st sept 2022 and I stayed in their deluxe Room, they offered a complimentary welcome dessert & drink, the staff was very very welcoming and available for assistance 24/7, the resort was at a very good location at Chaweng & had a private beach aswell. Amazing restaurents & great breakfast, rooms with beautiful views. 2 pools in the resort and both very aesthetically beautiful. Their restaurents are great and since we requested for a halal option of food, they cooked them the halal way! My overall trip was amazing all thanks to sheraton, the resort, staff, ambiance, food, cleanliness everything was on point. They have a fitness club, tennis court and many other resort activities free of cost, so would highly reccomend to stay in this resort for couples, family & even solo travellers as very secure & safe!

We stayed at this hotel from November 1st to November 10th.
1) Location: The hotel is located on a mountain, get ready to pretend to be a mountain goat. There are bugs, but getting through to the reception is a quest. After rain, walking around the hotel grounds due to the steep slopes is dangerous.
2) Room: The rooms are old, the walls are dirty, stained with something. The bath was dirty. The air conditioning is very loud. Upon arrival, an inscription of plants was laid out on the bed from which some bugs were jumping on the bed for 3 days. The bites and allergies from these bugs went away for more than 2 weeks
3) Food: The hotel is located right next to the sea, but you shouldn’t count on sea food or even fish. For 10 days we were fed sausages and breeding for Thai food (the food from the street vendors was much tastier). It is especially worth noting the vodka with tomato juice offered for breakfast. When asked by the staff what it is, they answer that vodka is the hotel’s signature drink that helps you wake up. According to the staff, apparently all tourists drink vodka in the morning.
4) Swimming pool: The pool by the beach is open only until 7 pm. It is lined with small sharp stones and on the very first day they scratched their knees on the bottom. How people relax there with children remains a mystery.
5) Entertainment: There is absolutely nothing to do at the hotel in the evening. A tiny gym. There is a tennis court, located in the sun, closed at 7 o'clock. There is 1 bar on the beach, it is always empty.
6) Beach: On the hotel beach there are huge boulders in the water. If you want to swim safely, you need to go to the neighboring beach about 50 meters away.
I do not recommend staying at this hotel.

My wife and I visited Sheraton Samui resort in 2022. We enjoyed it so much, that we are now going to visit again this year. The location is quiet perfectly away from the hustle and bustle in Chaweng, but still only a short ride away. The resort is located on a hilly location, but if the slopes should become to much, all you have to do is to call reception for a golf-cart, to take you to whereever you wish to go. The hotel is quite old and has not yet had a major renovation. The rooms are great but the bathrooms could need a little renovation. The beach was nice and good for swimming. The breakfast buffet was well assorted and delicious and the freshly baked waffles was to die for. The staff in the resort are very friendly and offer a perfect service.

We stayed at the Sheraton Samui Resort as part of our weeks-long trip through Thailand on their Test and Go program (Covid tested on your arrival to the country and on your fifth day). We were on property for our Day 5 test and the reservations manager was able to set up our testing before we even arrived, as well as arrange it to where the medical team came right to our room. It made the whole situation very easy to deal with.

The resort itself is absolutely beautiful!! It's located on a lot of land that is wonderfully manicured and adorned with rock paths, sculptures, and waterfalls. When you arrive, you are welcomed with a refreshing drink (NA) while the bellman load your bags on a golf cart that will take you down winding paths to your room.

We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom terrace suite that overlooked the property, pool, and private beach. We were there at the tail-end of Samui's rainy season, and it unfortunately lingered around throughout most of our stay. This created very strong waves that kept the "No Swimming Red Flag" out and a high tide that at times left the beach littered with random oceanic debris and hard to walk on. The high tide would also bring a lot of sand into the pool, as the beach and pool were pretty much level with each other, but the pool staff were amazing with keeping it clean and ready to use. We lost very little pool time thanks to them!

The main restaurant on property, Long Talay, was absolutely amazing. Not just for their food, but for their customer service! We were greeted with smiling faces every morning as we walked in for their buffet breakfast. They had a great selection of Eastern and Western fare to choose from, as well as Chefs preparing made to order egg dishes and fresh pancakes and waffles. Besides breakfast, we took advantage of their Friday night BBQ. From fresh grilled meat, vegetables, and seafood, wonderfully prepared sides and fresh fruit, to BOGO cocktails, it made for a great night as we sat overlooking the beach. Oittima and the whole staff there we just great no matter what time we came. They had such a high level of service, but they made it seem so easy and effortless. We appreciated all the kindness and it really made our stay that much better.

The property is located away from the hustle and bustle of areas like Fisherman's Village and Chaweng Beach, so you really feel secluded and on your own little oasis. But when you want to get out and experience some of the great restaurants and nightlife in the area (Karma Sutra and Coco Tam's are a must!), the front desk will easily arrange taxi service for you. It really was really nice to not worry how to get to places.

All in all, if you are looking for a spot to feel secluded, and never find a need to leave the property if you didn't want to, the Sheraton Samui Resort should be the place you stay. Thank you to all the staff there for a wonderful experience!!
