I have actually booked DVC Hotel Samui but i think they have over booking, so when i arrive they send me to a few doors awayt o the Arina Boutique Residence. Overall i am happy with it. If you just wanna a simple, clean and comfortable room this is a place for you. A location where everything is easily to reach in walking distance, A The rooms have all modern amenities like TV, minibar, aircon and hot water shower. walking distance across the road for 5 - 10 mins passing thru some resorts you will get to Chaweng beach. This area have plenty of shops and restaurants as well as bars and clubs, everything can be easily reached. The reception lady offered me a good discount for another night stay.No complaint for a place with big n clean room with the price i paid.

I had quite a good impression in the beginning about the hotel. Cheap price, big rooms, clean. Until I decided to use the laundry service of the hotel. Among the clothes I gave to the receptionist were white trousers and a couple of white t-shirts. The trousers had some small yellow spots however when I got them back I had gotten even more stains then it was before and they were green together with those yellow remained on the clothes. The green stains I got also on the t-shirts. After I came with that to the lady at the reception she said that these green marks were there before washing, that what they told her at the laundry service and actually she was claiming me a lier. This incident spoiled all my impression about my staying at this hotel. I expected from the receptionist to offer me the laundry service for free because of that but she was only crying so I decided that there would not be any sense to wait anything from her. At the end I left this pair of trousers in the closet of the rooms as a souvenir from me :) One plus to that hotel that they offer the tours with nice discounts. We compared the prices with the travel agencies and at the end ordered a tour at the hotel. Remember that you always can bargain.

To start, the ensuite room is decent. The one I had did have a balcony and hot water. Overall, the room was clean and cozy. It contained a large refrigerator and they provide 2 bottles of water a day. Decent priced. The lady at the front desk is very pleasant and a big help if you're looking to arrange boat trips, motorbike rental, and other activities. My one complaint with the place is that in the entry there is a bar and I believe they can provide meals, but the family uses this area as a living room. The father? And the child are ALWAYS in there watching television. One night the child was even putting together a tent in the area!!! This makes it very uncomfortable and awkward to stay there, as the kid is somewhat rude and the father kind of acts like he doesn't want anyone hanging out in the area too long. Overall it was a pleasant experience but I would advise staying elsewhere if you're looking for a communal area to meet and hang out with other travelers.

We got dropped off about 8pm by this hotel after it was recommended by a guy on our ferry. FYI the prices were cheaper at the hotel than what the ferry guy had offered. We just dropped our bags and went out for food. We came back just after 11pm and that's when we discovered the sheets and beds were not clean or in good condition. There were hairs in the beds, little bits like crumbs and stains. We got the managers son and he got his mother who assured us that it was clean but when they open the windows stuff blows in and on to the bed. Long story shot we wanted to leave and get our money back but she only offered half. We argued that we had only been in the room a total of 20 minutes but she freaked out and ended up yelling at us saying other people had wanted the room so we settled for half the money back and found another place to stay

My boyfriend and i are stayed here only few nights ago whilst traveling around thailand...on check in the manager who is a middle aged woman seemed very friendly and welcoming, her son who helps with the bags etc is extremely lovely and very very welcoming. To be honest i have to say that the rooms are lovely and reasonably cheap considering the area that your staying in but DO NOT CROSS THE MANAGER, shes a lunatic. My boyfirend and i had hierd a bike for the day during our two day stay, upon check out (we had told her that we had one hour to get to our boat) she asked me for an extra 300 BHT for the second day use of the bike, i explained that we did not use the bike and said that the bike had been outside the whole day, she said that shed seen the bike and we had not used it but still demanded the money i refused to pay and she went crazy acting like a toddler having a tantrum jumping up and down screaming calling my boyfriend and i evil bad people...i had to leave as i didnt want to get into an arguement she then refused to give my boyfriend back his passport, placing it in her back pocket and threatening to call the police even when my boyfirned had given her the money dispite not having used the bike in the first place...she would not accept it until i had come back into the hotel, apologised for nothing and told her that she was right we are very bad people etc etc...i have never in my life seen a grown woman act that way, we were so dissapointed at the immaturity of this lady, someone like her should not be running a hotel, i would not stay there as they obviously try to swindle money out of you and i'd worry that if you said the wrong thing she would just blow up in your face...terrible.

Very nice and cosy place, I feel there like at home. Nice personal! We often drink tea at the hall and watch thai TV alongside with hotel owners family. We always got cups, hot water and plates for our banana cakes, we buyed at the nearest 7elewen. And the staff was kindly to wash our dishes for free.
Low prices but good location, 5 min to the nice Chaweng beach, a lot of restaurants close to this hotel. Clean, spacious room. You will get everyday clining and 2 bottles of drinking water.
Like it!

The reason we loved this hotel so much was the room. It was huge, and had great decor- which we payed a small price for.
The room includes a fridge and large TV with cable channels.
The bathroom was a good size and hot water was always available.
The room was great.

The owners have little english but one lady can communicate better than the rest.
They were happy to help us with planning activities and giving us transport for a better price than a taxi.
They advertise a bar/resturant but the family use this as a lounge during the day so it's not really possible to use it.
You will be required to give a 300 baht which will be given back on check out when you return the key.

The location is also great.

we booked 3 nights here, a couple of days before we were contacted to say they had overbooked our first night stay, so they will put us up in a hotel down the road for free.

The DVC hotel was the first nights stay - the WORST WORST room we have ever stayed in my life, the shower was a bucket!

The next day they moved us back into the Arina, this was a really basic room but was a cheap stay. Breakfast was included, personally I had breakfast once as we didn't like it. The room was very old school the television was ancient with no English channels, there was no hot water either.

The location was really good, 5 minutes from Chaweng beach and 10minutes form the Main Street. Overall it was a basic stay I would recommend if you need somewhere cheap but not for a long stay.
