Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely hotel in a perfect location with a great pool right on Chaweng Beach. We had a lovely big modern room overlooking the pool and the sea. The staff are all lovely and friendly and smiley and the breakfast was great too. The location of this hotel is perfect, not right in the middle of all the bars and clubs but only a few minutes walk away.

Had our vacation in this beautiful hotel. We are a couple in our 50’s and we stayed for 6 nights. We wish we could have extended our stay, it was absolutely amazing. From the front desk staff, maintenance, restaurant, breakfast and pool area. Full access to the beach. Activities, like Sap and Kayak are provided free of charge. Room was very well maintained it was very big with all facilities needed. We are already planning our next stay here.

We enjoyed this hotel. On a nice part of the beach. Check in lady is lovely. Not a lot of feeling like you’re in a Thai resort. Loved my room. More a modern building. In fact a rather bizarre building. No idea what would be in the very large roof area. Like a 2 or 3 meters of roof. Strange. Breakfast buffet was good. Staff were friendly.

Pool area beautiful, and staff worked hard to keep this and the beach area clean at all times. Breakfast was the best out of 4 hotels we stayed at on this trip! No atmosphere at the bar area so nothing made you want to have an evening drink. We were in the cheapest room as nothing else available for 8 days. Rooms showing signs of wear. Not enough storage for clothes in these room’s definitely in desperate need of some drawers or shelves! I can’t believe they think they are acceptable! Very small and no privacy in bathroom with the glass doors! Rooms were a bit disappointing compared to rest of resort. Reception staff very pleasant and helpful. Not far enough away from the craziness of Chewang for my liking and so I would never come back to this hotel.

We visited in May with friends and specifically chose this location as it is really convenient. You are far enough away from the hustle and bustle, yet within an easy 15 minute walk (on the flat) to the shops, bars and clubs. We have stayed in quite a few hotels in this area. The hotel is modern and fresh with reasonably good size rooms which have a balcony. Ours was a deluxe room which had a view of the gardens to the side. There are rooms which face the beach and sea which are more expensive, of course. The pool area is lovely and well designed. There is an onsite restaurant which serves breakfast and dinner. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The value for money was also incredible in my opinion, as May is classed as low season. We would stay here again as it suited our needs. It's also not a big sprawling hotel, which is a plus in my opinion.

What a stay!! From the moment we were greeted at the reception to the moment we left La Vida Samui, we felt very welcomed in this little corner of paradise in Koh Samui. The rooms were spacious with all the mod cons, the pools and the beach well maintained with plenty of sun loungers, and the breakfast was just the right amount of everything. Well done La Vida Samui!! Keep up an excellent work

I have travelled many times to koh samui and I would have to say la vida is my best experience. Great staff, nice breakfast, comfortable rooms, nice room set-up and finally great location. Hotel is beachfront. Location wise hotel is 5/10 min walk to soi green mango which is the main night life hub of samui. Your walking distance to many massage parlours, gyms, restaurants, night markets and bars/clubs. Overall fantastic stay and would stay in same hotel again on my next visit.

Excellent new resort in Samui. Well located few blocks from where the Chaweng action starts but still very quiet and private. Well appointed room with very comfortable bed. Nespresso machine in the room. They provide quality beach towels every day in the room with two handy beach bags. The grounds are amazing. Beautiful pool and lounge chairs, both by the pool and at the beach. The ground keeping staff does a great job of keeping everything pristine (including the beach). Plenty of lounge chairs, no need to fight for one or "reserve" like in other resorts. Paddle boards and kayaks available for guests at no extra cost. The staff is delightful and always service with a smile. Breakfast very complete with egg station and espresso coffee machine. Highly recommended.
