I stayed with Whendie and Steve whilst carrying out a risk assessment for a Bronze Award DoE. They could not have been more helpful. They are just on the edge of Delamere Forest and the Sandstone Trail and are superbly situated for Bronze level walks. They offer camping or just a stop off for snacks and I cannot recommend them...

A pal and myself stayed at Stonehouse Farm last August. I took a motorbike up to have some work done to it and was recommended by Maxton Suspension. The double bedded room was clean and tidy. Corner bath (very 70s but good) and nice hot shower. Breakfast and evening meals were enormous standard fayre. No fussy Nouveau Cuisine just good...

We stopped for tea& scones while on the Sandstone trail (between Manley & Delamere forest) £1for tea/ coffee & £1 for a lovely large fruity scone & jam! All without removing our muddy boots - seating is outside in the field or undercover at the side of the house. So this week we returned with a group of 30 having...

Many Thanks for your'e review. So pleased you all enjoyed the refreshments and the homemade scones. We appreciated the telephone call prior to arrival as we could freshly bake the scones with homemade jam. They always go down a treat with walkers and cyclists. Hope to see you again next year. Camped overnight and walked down to The Goshawk for a few beers and a meal. Whendie set us up for the walk back with a delicious breakfast. We returned to Frodsham across fields swathed in Autumn...
