I have to begin with the fact that the waitress staff were lovely and efficient. They did a excellent job and the manager should be proud of them. The bad bit though was the meals. We sat down and the bread rolls were on the table set separately for each person but on picking up his roll my husband had...

Even though the old hall is quite local to me I have never thought to go for some reason maybe I don't feel it is advertised or spoke about enough?? Really feel though it's afternoon tea should be shouted about though as it is such good value for money. I have been for a lot of afternoon teas and this...

Having stayed last year and thought the room we booked then was old and querky we have just returned from a three night stay this week. I am writing another review because our experience of service was not what we expected. We were given room No1 very poor standard. Outside is the door to the office and other bedrooms so...

One night stay in frodsham and whilst the room was clean and tidy can't help seeing it needs some money spending on it. Threadbare carpets on the steps in our room (27). A shame because the location is perfect.

We stayed overnight in this hotel due to a family event in the village. Our room was charming , the staff were calm and incredibly efficient considering the poor receptionist was responsible for three areas at once! The room was spotless and quirky ! But with all that you could wish for i.e. Flat screen tv , wi-fi etc. Breakfast...

I stayed at the hotel whilst on business in the area. The hotel's biggest asset is its staff who were most welcoming and efficient upon arrival and checking in, and then later serving in the bar, at breakfast the following morning and on check out. They were all friendly, helpful and quietly calm.. Amongst the best service I've encountered in...

Visited while in the area on Business, it's a perfectly nice independent hotel, room was good apart from shower (that's a common failing in hotels of this type in the U.K.) Bar food great (only used the restaurant for breakfast), very cozy - try the 'Barista' coffee stout! Breakfast had good selection of pastries, cereal as well as full English....

The hotel is extremely tired and in need of a refresh. The communal areas are untidy, with spare furniture lying around and untidy, poorly installed cabling all over the place. The fitted furniture in the bedroom and bathroom looked like it had been thrown together by an inexperienced DIY'er. The bathroom fitting were cheap and poorly fitted and the shower...

We were looking for accommodation near my aging parents' bungalow, so that my family of five could spend time with them over Christmas. The Old Hall Hotel was just what we needed. Our rooms were at the back of the newer part of the hotel and were perfectly acceptable. One of the rooms booked, a twin room, was upgraded into...
