Our family members booked out the four cottages for a wedding last weekend. The natural gardens/settings were sensational. Lush lawns, wild life, open kitchen near the pool, family room fully equipped. We saw possums with a baby on mum's back and we sat in the family open kitchen to have breakfast to have real eggs with our bacon etc. The...

We recently had a weekend at Chiltern Lodge for my wife's 60th. We had all four cabins booked and therefore the whole place to ourselves. The owners were very accomodating and helpful and made us feel very welcome. There's plenty to do for the kids with a tv (cinema) room, a cubby house, fire truck and chook pen etc. The...

We stayed for three nights, and the four cabins are in a lovely forest glade setting. The website we found to be a bit misleading on its descriptions, however, so we were a little disappointed. For example, the website says "just minutes from the beautiful Manning River, and the shops, cafes and sandy beaches" BUT, that is if you drive...

Thanks Janet for taking the time to write a review, it has taken a long time for us to respond as we wanted to reply that we have indeed taken onboard your comments regarding the website. Since your visit we have had a new website designed and have stated that Old Bar and beaches etc are a short drive away....

From the moment one turns off the motorway into Old Bar, time starts to slow down. And then off that road into Metz rd, it slows even more. The cabins are well equipped and comfortable for 2 to 5 people ( they are roomier than most caravan park cabins but obviously not 5 star like a resort - my rating...

From the moment my family and I arrived at Chiltern Lodge, we were made to feel welcome by the owners and their families. The four lodges on the site are really nicely presented with views out over the recreation ground and swimming pool/spa. Parking is to the rear of the building, covered parking is available but limited. There is a...
