My first trip to the Guadalupe Valley, to many plans and very high expectations, They recommended me to stay in the Guadalupe Valley to visit most of the local wineries and I decided to stay at El Cielo. and what a terrible mistake. the place is beautiful and very romantic and thats the only good thing I can say about the place. everything else is chaos. the service, food and cleanliness are a disaster. terrible customer service as no one gives solutions. the lack of training and leadership of managers is noted. Stayed at El Cielo from October 30th to Nov 1st where my expectations were not met by far, especially given the high profile of the property. Upon my arrival, my room, was not clean. Trash from wine bottles laid on the desk as well as plastic caps in the bathroom sink and shower which was reported to the bell boy. Next day we had to wait over 90 minutes to get our ordered breakfast to the surprise not only to us but to also to others guest that arrived later than us to the restaurant. Reported to the front desk manager, Miss Reding That same night my room was not been cleaned, no fresh towels and bed was not made. Reported issues at check-out but no fix could be had as manager Mr. Fabrizio Frias was not in. Later got a call from Mr. Frias, who explained that the only option to make it up was by having his personal attention the next time I checked in, as a partial refund was not an option as “I paid before he got to the hotel”. This is not a cheap hotel and these are challenging times. Premium lodging and dining options in Valle de Guadalupe are very good for which this response was highly disappointing. …

This is my first review, the hotel premises are mediocre at best, horrible service! I left at 10am and came back at 9pm and my room was just being serviced... it is extremely over priced and it is such a bad experience don’t come if you don’t want to waste your money, everything was a disaster... I don’t know if the hotel even has a manager

El Cielo is a joke. Communication was poor from the moment we booked this place. When we checked in the bathroom had a giant poop in the toilet and was nothing but bad the entire time. Woke up to horrible sewage smell middle of the night. On top of that we left some valuable items in room and have tried to call without any resolve. If they cared they would call back and follow through. Not one interaction felt authentic and learning they could care less about their guests. Do not stay here!!

We where a group of 8 and the villa that we stayed in was able to sleep all of us very comfortably. We had our own private fire pit, perfect for a night drinking some wine and being outside during the night. Im definitely going to return!
