We stayed for 1 night in July on our way to Saint Emillion. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful room with a lovely view. Very clean and a nice bathroom. We had dinner at the hotel and it was excellent. However, the staff were a little surly and not very welcoming and the breakfas was awful. Please avoid the breakfast. It is served downstairs in a dark cave like room.It is expensive, yet there was no milk for the cereal, no fruit left in the fruit bowl, not refilled. The coffee was filter coffee that had been made an age before it was served. The jam was left out in small bowls for everyone to help themselves , not COVID 19 friendly at all. Really extremely poor and means we won't return or recommend.

Ideally located in a typical tufa building, choose the view of the Loire and the castle, it is really the + of this hotel. Parking in the courtyard and possibility to put the bikes away.
But disappointing performance for a 3 star, compared to its price (144 €/night in July). Decor of the old room, very firm mattress (back pain abstain), shower room with unseparated toilet, additional glass would be welcome in the shower so as not to flood everywhere. Cleaning not very rigorous (hair in the shower tray, spider above the shower room window). No air conditioning, no fans. The door to the landing does not soundproof at all (and no entrance lock). Breakfasts are not worth €15, even in a cave room! Very little choice, soft croissant, no choice of yogurt, no more fruit salad if you arrive at 10am, no compote... The staff is polite without more.

Lovely hotel with fantastic views over the Loire and the beautiful Montsoreau Chateau. The breakfasts were great, yoghurt, fruits, cheese and meat plus wonderful fresh bread and croissants. Our room was on the ground floor and was extremely spacious comfortable. The only criticism I would have is that we were only given one small bottle of water on our first day and nothing on the second.

The staff was quite unfriendly; especially the lady manager. She tempted to charge us €200 over the agreed price, and was quite abusive in her comments. The room on the top floor was extremely hot; and the so-called air conditoner (an old fashioned version which also blowed back hot air into the room) made a lot of noise but could not reduce the stuffy heat. The British guests in the room next to us had the samen experience.

We stayed one night here while in Monstoreau, the view was breath-taking with the Chateau right there and the Loire River just below.
It is a Logis de France Hotel set at the top of a hill. We had booked a twin room which was verry basic although the bathroom was good. There were no proper glasses in the room, we had to have our usual pre-dinner Gin and Tonics in mugs, that was a first. The room was in an annexe but was really quiet and again the view was lovely.
The Montsorelli Restaurant is part of the hotel complex. It has outdoor tables for beautiful days where one can dine while drinking in the view. Also there is an inside dining room for more inclement weather.
The prices in the restaurant were quite high but the food was good and there was a great buzz. I would certainly dine here again if, for nothing else other than the view.

Small Logis hotel with 12 rooms located on a picturesque dead end street overlooking the Loire and the castle of Montsoreau.
Parking opposite next to the Restaurant Montsorelli with some places but not sufficient if all rooms come by car.
Friendly welcome. Suitcases trudge up the stairs to the first floor. The “superior” room 3 was quite small, old-fashioned and through a window part of the castle could be seen. However, the room was clean and the small bathroom had a walk-in shower and renovated as well as the toilet.
Wifi was very good with 100 Mbbs! For which chapeau. There is no A/C. Only a problem in a heat wave because the building has thick walls.
The barrier in front of the car park is closed until 8 am. So if you want to leave early find a parking space in the alley.
All in all a reasonable hotel in a beautiful location. Beautiful view and super quiet. But you mainly pay for that location because the room itself is not worth € 130 +.

A good and beautiful table, good fish. Fine desserts. Pleasant service, an ideal place for lunch on the terrace on the banks of the Loire, with a magnificent view of the Château de Montsoreau, to be recommended.

Very welcome with a real sense of service. A nice room with a beautiful view of the castle and the Loire. Quality breakfast with local products and a very wide choice. A second stay just as satisfying as the first.

Hotel with charm and calm. Very warm welcome, hotel staff smiling, friendly, professional. Excellent and very varied breakfast. Served in a cave at the back of the hotel, it was really very nice. The hotel restaurant “Le Montsorelli”, great. Very good menu, starters, main courses and desserts excellent and served by very competent, friendly staff. I recommend the hotel and the restaurant.
