Chateau de Monrecour is a must-do kind of place. Everyone I encountered on the staff was courteous and professional. The room was sparkling clean and comfortable as well as being quite large. I dined in the restaurant and it was spectacular. I'm only sorry I wasn't at this hotel during the summer as they have wonderful swimming pools all over...

We stayed here for four nights over Christmas and we'll be going back. Both the chateau and the refurbished outbuildings make an excellent place to stay, whether as a family or 'en couple'. The facilities are at the beginning of a refurbishment program which promises to improve them even further. Facilities are excellent, homely and comfortable without feeling like a...

My husband and I stayed here for three nights in September and and the location for touring the area was perfect. We stayed in the outer part of the house in one of the older rooms. The furniture is a bit dated and you will need to bring any luggage up stairs. I wanted to love the place, but I...

What a charming place, it was truly stunning and the staff were very helpful indeed. The place really is amazing in such a beautiful setting. The pool was lovely and the accommodation was superb. We stayed in the converted out houses and for a family of four it was perfect

This castle / chateau recalls a bygone era of powdered wigs and stately rooms set in multiple acres of rolling French countryside. It is a magnificent building that promises a lot and almost delivers. You get the sense that it is insanely expensive to run and that the accomodation business only goes some of the way towards making the proposition...

This was our third visit to Monrecour. Since our last visit in 2013, the new owners have lavished much time and money on landscaping and the hotel grounds now look well cared for and are a pleasure to walk around. This hotel is very highly recommended. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The free bottles of mineral water are a...

We stayed for 2 nights as part of a Headwater multi activity holiday. The setting is beautiful, the rooms were both gorgeous & the pool clean & a good size with comfortable furniture. There is a main terrace & 2 smaller ones where you can sit outside in peace & comfort plus a sitting room. Breakfast was excellent, although I...

We recently stayed in this hotel. It is in a scenic location, just outside of Beynac. It is an attractive property, with well-maintained grounds. The staff are excellent. The rooms are comfortable. The room rate was fair. We enjoyed our stay.

The chateau looks great from a distance and the grounds are well tended and have obviously had money spent on them recently. My girlfreind and I just felt the 150 euro per night was just far more than it deserves. We booked the charm room and it was just very tired and dated. There may well be better rooms which...

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us on tripadvisor. Most of our guests are fans of the original baroque decorations in the 20 m² measuring Charm Room. I am sorry to read that it is not your personal taste. The rooms in the annex building are about 15m² and they have a different style of...
