On 30 mins off Calais ferry, too late to strick out for Paris this evening. Having a late evening meal and wine in the lovely dinning room. Breakfast was great, very tranquil morning. We should be to Paris for lunchtime and Portofino for early evening. Captain Medley Isle of Man

Lunch at the restaurant at Najeti Hotel Chateau Tilques, two Formulas to choose from (19 euro or 24 euros) both including a glass of wine, as well as full al carte. Delightful calm, refined atmosphere, impeccable service and good food. Starter including stunning tomatoes fluid gel and staff coped with dairy allergy very well. Well worth the small diversion from...

Worth the visit for the food alone. Pleasant surroundings with a pretty chateau at its focal point. We stayed in the modern annex or garden rooms which were a bit dated, but comfortable enough. No aircon so not terribly happy about keeping the patio door open for ventilation. Staff were delightful ad many of our fellow diners were repeat visitors...

Superb stopover on the way out of Calais or on the way back, 40 minutes from the ports. Set in magnificent grounds it is peaceful and charming in every way. There is an indoor pool to relax and plenty of space to chill. The evening meal is fabulous well worth stopping just for that, breakfast is also very good with...

Our room was quite pleasant, but let down by the bathroom, which had very little space on which to put ones toothbrush, etc. Just a small shelf over the toilet. Nowhere in the shower to put anything. The menu's were also very disappointing, with very little chose on the day menu, and not a great deal on the a la...

Charming staff, lovely grounds and good food. This was our second overnight stay at Chateau Tilques (in 12 months), a great location close to Calais and convenient for road trips to and from the UK. The restaurant is located in the chateau's old stables which has been beautifully renovated and still includes an open wood fire which must have been...

We stayed here in January during a cold snap. Friends had recommended The Chateau and it is set in lovely ground with some strange sculptures of naked figures playing various games. The thought of doing a tug of war in the nude in minus 7 degrees certainly brought thoughts of brass monkeys to mind. We were in the annex which...

Lovely setting and pretty French hotel. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely go back. Very Comfortable beds, powerful shower and super restaurant. Children friendly too although not somewhere for them to mess about. Highly recommend this hotel.

This is a lovely place to stay if you're in this part of the world. Wonderful staff, friendly and helpful. Rooms: vary from tiny to very large and pleasant; the new wing is more predictable (but less character). The pool is too small to be enjoyable.
